Hello all...
You got rid of that cough Ev? Mine is more or less gone so going to run tonight, if it stops pouring with rain! I really need the stress relief, this week is going as well as last so far  Kicking myself cos I've caused myself more problems at the mo by leaving things till the last minute (currently in a race against time to get my passport before I go on holiday... I'm such an idiot sometimes.. why do I never learn  )
BA - well done on the personal best! Where are you off to on holiday? Can understand not wanting to run in an unfamiliar place (especially on your own).Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hiya RS - we are off to Menorca :j and I cannot wait.
I keep having a nightmare that the kids passports have run out and have checked them about three times this weekend!! When do you go away? When I was pg with DS we booked a holiday that meant we were going away 5 weeks after his due so thought we were safe - until her was 3 weeks late  . I remember driving to Liverpool with him at 5 days to get a passport - was a complete stressful nightmare.
Bless him though, I dropped him off this morning and he said to me "Mummy I'm really tired, I could really do with a holiday" (he's only 3 :rotfl: ) - I guess I may have been saying that a little too often around the house.
I think I may try and persuade DH to go running with me on holiday if we put the kids in kids club for an hour? Or I could just run around the pool on my bikini..............0 -
Hello hello hello *bounds back into the room with 2 painfree knees and NOT coughing* :j :j
I’m back – I know I’ve neglected you for a while but I really am back for good! The running has been so very stop-start for the last couple of months its annoyed me a lot. But after over 2 weeks of rest/very light jogging my knee seems healed and I have also thrown off a very annoying cough I seemed to have had for ages – its amazing how much better I feel after some decent nights unbroken sleep. OH is relived too I think he was on the verge of sleeping in the loft to get away from my constant coughing!
Anyway, I have a 10K race in 5 weeks so need to rebuild fitness sharpish. I went spinning and to body pump last night which I can REALLY feel today. Going to do 2 miles tonight as a gentle reintroduction to running and hopefully run off the heaviness.
I was so motivated after the gym yesterday that I decided to treat myself to something I’ve wanted for ages – the Nike + running kit for £20. (For those who don’t know its 2 transmitters, one goes on your shoe and the other in ipod and they talk to each other and monitor your speed/distance etc. Then there’s a website where you can plot graphs / take part in challenges on forum etc. Quite sad but hopefully motivating). Also bough a clip from Ebay to hold it to my existing trainers (not buying nike ones) and am borrowing OH ipod nano until I can afford one of my own (but he’s been on about getting a new one so might get the cast-off before then hehe)
Hows everyone else been doing??0 -

Ooh lucky you! I've got about 5 weeks before I go, I already feel stupid cos I had a passport but managed to lose itBeen putting off getting new one for money reasons but have suddenly realised how late I've left it.. and then realised I need to post it to someone to countersign cos nobody where I live now has known me for long enough! I will NOT be this stupid again.
Keep your fingers crossed for me as though it's not the end of the world (v cheap flights) I'll be a very grumpy squirrel if it doesn't come in time.
Could you run along the beach? It's VERY good exercise.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

HI all,
Back from in-laws - all I can say is Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!
:rotfl:
They do my head in, they think that DH and me are trying to outdo them in everything and so don't even bother to have conversations, a laugh or do anything! They think I'm posh ha ha ha - me I'm from Bedford I ain't posh. O the joys of parents!
Anyway cough better, I'm better, getting my kit ready before I go to bed to go out for run in the morning.0 -
Hi everyone
DH and I went for 4 miler this morning then he decided to take me running up Snowdon, or at least that's what it felt like .
Then we went and played 9 holes of golf, now I can't play golf and never want to again but it was a good laugh. We ran away before the owners found all the divots - I blame it on the rabbits!
Hope everyone OK
Ev x0 -
no runs today but went swimming with dd and dh, back out in the morning when dd at childminder and dh at work - ahhhhhhhhh peace and quiet!0
