Well unlike me snags you seem to know the value of moderation (I'm a never do things by half kind of gal and that includes running and eating 4 chelsea buns for tea last night)...

Great about your top - glad to hear it was an MSE bargin!

Moderation.....hmmm, I wish! Although I've never managed to eat 4 chelsea buns, that's quite an achievement! :rotfl:

    Good luck Chickadee!!!!

You have the postive vibes of the DFW masses behind you!

Erin had a craft class today in a town a few miles away so....

I went running today... for an hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

(well less a 4 minute walk after 20mins, but i'm not technically counting it...!)

    That's the good news,

but the bad news is that when i tracked it, it was under 4 miles...! I'm gutted as i'm sure it would be 4 miles at my really slow average 15minute mile. but it fell 0.2mile short.

I tracked it in the car again, (i know idio!! i know!! but it was on the grounds of an estate so not map-able but drive-able!) so i'm pretty sure it's accurate.

However the scenery was lovely.... http://www.fasque.com/home.html

    I saw deer n everything!

Hi Mazzalicious, blimey woman, don't you know that it's okay to round up to the nearest mile? :D:D

Running for an hour is really impressive!! :T

    Good luck chickadee!!! go girl!!

I got my London rejection yesterday, so a bit lacking in motivation........I need to give myself a kick up the bum to get my running shoes back on, although the weather is so foul this weekend, I am happy to give it a miss :o

I will watch the GNR instead........I ran it in 1992 :rotfl:

but i struggled to run for half an hour on wednesday, so it's all relative...

I think i need to forget what others are doing and run at my own pace... even if it means being left behind at running club... I enjoyed it so much.

i did the 1 eared radio (mobile phone) and the time flew by... i was actually listening to the SPL Football pundits on radio scotland, so not music at all but enjoyable (if you like that sorta thing! lol)

and for extra brownie points please coach... the weather was foul!! raining like boogery all the way to the place, and once i stepped out into the run it cleared up and was clear, once i got back in the car (1hr and 5 mins later! in case you missed that point!!) the rain started again, so that is good karma innit?

Sorry you didn't get in Hypno - has anyone from this thread got in at all??

I find the same Maz - if I just stop worrying about how fast I'm going, I can keep running for ages, but as soon as I try to go any faster, I start to feel an overwhelming urge to walk (or ring a taxi!).
