    Morning all,

Did my easy 4 miles today but it was seriously hard work after yesterdays efforts so I am sleepy now - only managed a 45 minute time on 4.25 miles argh! Ah well it all counts I suppose and it is only week 1 of the plan.

I'm still waiting on mine too Sally...I wish they would hurry up and sort themselves out. If I don't get it through the work thing I'll have to try something else!

Stop stressing about time on easy runs - it should have been 50 minutes!

    There, thats you told! :p

Nope I have my toes as well if I get really desperate...

I'm allowed to stress about times anyway - I'm competative - got a time to beat!

Slightly disasterous 1st Farlek session ;)
Anyway I did 1 mile warm up
1 mile at what I thought was fast def faster than I have ever run before
probably less than half a mile recovery
    1/2 mile fast
    1 mile normal run pace
    1/2 mile walk :(
Feel ok but really thought I was going to keel over!

Think I might have to get up early and have something to eat on days when I do these sessions!

Must also calibrate my nike + its so wrong.

    Thats not disastrous Sally!

Its a new session, so its a case of sizing the session up in the first few times.

You'll definitely reap training effect benefits from sessions like these though. As long as some of the session was done at faster than 10K pace then its a good session.

And you'll definitely feel a buzz later on from the increased effort.

    Well done.

Thanks Rich, actually now I am back home I feel great and much more on a buzz than normal!
Oh I know I meant to ask you the other day. Can you give us some wise words on stretching before and after running?

Actually what you described is pretty much how I feel when I do mine as well - its death when you are out there, but afterwards - wow! :D

It does get easier though, my second proper one was yesterday and I managed to do more at the faster pace so its quick results too.
