Read it now, sounds like a great idea.
Also agree with what was mentioned earlier about running downhill being harder than going up. Especially lower ratio slopes such as 1:5.
I personally find it to be a mental thing. For example, running up an hill you are in eyeline of your target. Downhill you are way above in elevation from your intended destination and I think it dictates caution, such as standing at a height overlooking a drop. Sounds silly but there you are.

I'd better post at least one (directly) running related comment today. RE: running downhill, I think it's largely a confidence thing. If you're not used to doing it, you may be afraid you'll trip and so shorten your stride. Tripping when running downhill is of course much worse than running uphill or on level ground! Myself I run downhill with quite a long stride but I would say reasonably cautious and I use it to get my breath back a bit. The key to this is not to even try - its an almost impossible task to fit in all the conflicting requirements.
