  • Would it be a bad idea to do two half marathons one week after the other.. I might have a change of plan and join Hypno & co on the 19th.. or I might do both! (sorry in quick reply box and can't change colour of text!)

Red, not at all, it can work quite effectively. The second will more than likely be faster than the first. I've bounced 4 half-marathons in successive weeks with each one quicker than the last.

Just don't do too much in between - stretching and light jogging plus refuelling and you'll go great!

Poodle, wow you must have some strong muscles there - I think if I attempted to hang on to a pole I'd fall off very quickly! :o

Lol, the hanging's fine, it's the not so glamarous stumble to the floor that I haven't quite mastered!

Hmm, well I was looking at races in March, but... that's in Suffolk right? So I have little excuse not to, don't I? I might be on a stag that weekend though, so I can't commit yet!

I still think 10k so a few beers :beer:can be had (if desired), at least for the first one anyway.

A half marathon needs focus and early nights and stuff.

    Just my tuppence worth!

Do you mean beforehand Rich? I didn't before my 10k, but had my first pint in my hand about 30 mins after the finish. Beertins lives up to his name.
