    Hi Sally,

Are you doing a half a week on Sunday? I'm jealous - I can't wait to get that buzz of anticipation again in the week before a big one.

    What are you aiming for?

Rich I am doing the Bristol Half on the 14th (week on sunday) there is a huge part of me that is very very nervous and anxious that I won't get around but part of me excited at the thought of getting to the finish line and seeing my little girl there waiting for me :)

  • It certainly doesn't help trying to fit the runs in when the nights are drawing in, and it is colder......

I was meant to go to runchums at 8pm the other night, but she had something on telly at 8, so rather than cancel which she is prone to do, i said i'd come over at 7.... by the time i left hers at 8, it was almost dark.... we'd have been screwed if we were running at 8 o'clock!!! (we live in the country so it's B roads and no street lights for us!)

I love running in the rain, give me rain over a sunny day anytime!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Where's Sally gone? I want to know about next week's race.

Sorry Rich had to pick up DD from School...god that 2.5 hours went quick!

    What an ultra marathon?

Hey - has anyone here tried hashing?

Now Becky what answer do you think I'm going to give to that one?

All I can say is Isle Of Man Running (As if) festival.

It does but its where you follow a trail with a group of people to the pub...its good apparently!
  • Sally,

You basically know you'll get to the finish one way or another even if you do have walk some.

The only slight help I could suggest is that you will improve your chances if you do nothing after next Wednesday, except a thorough stretching session each day, and let the glycogen build up in your muscle cells.

What time are you expecting? Or is it a see how it goes run?

I would like to get around in 2 hours really, im a plodder and do mainly 10 min miles so if I can do it under 2 hours I would be very very happy!
