I eventually managed to get a complete creepy set, plus the spooky sofa I was missing and some pumpkin heads, which are fun.

For those who like to crib and prepare ahead of time for events, be aware that Thanksgiving ('Harvest') is coming towards the end of the month, and apparently you will need to produce a number of different recipe ingredients (various fish, fruit, mushrooms and items such as oysters, seaweed, beehives, etc) in order to help Franklin the turkey prepare a four course meal.

This guide might help out with that :), http://www.thonky.com/animal-crossing-new-leaf/harvest-festival/. I use this site for everything animal crossing related.

I already had the spooky set from buying it throughout the month :). I have some spare pumpkin heads and I can order the orange one, and some spare jack in the boxes if anyone wants them. Once I'd completed my creepy set (and got a few extras) I started going after the other things. I also went and got a full set of patched clothes :p.

I would say it suits pretty much any age -it's more dependant on whether you like playing that sort of game than how old you are. (The PEGI rating is for age 3 or over, although there is some reading of what the characters are saying to you so I don't see how a three year old could fully appreciate it)

(basically it's one of those sims type games where you just potter around and do whatever you want - talk to villagers, catch fish or bugs, water flowers, write letters etc)

Very quiet on this thread - I hope there are a lot of people out there still playing.

A nice little thing I found out from reading some of the guides out there is that if you take all the parts of any dinosaur to Cyrus, he will use them to make a little 1x1 model of it for you - I just got my first one done yesterday.

I believe we may have snow on the ground from tomorrow. One of my favourite things is building snowmen! Apparently in New Leaf ther is a whole family to build. Also, if you give the 'special' snowflakes that I've caught a few of to a snowman he'll give you some special furniture in exchange.

I still play alot, managed to build a perfect snow tyke today :), now I just need his three perfectly built family members to get his gift.

I've been working on developing my town, building public works that fit my theme and laying paths is so much fun and I think it's coming along very nicely :).

I inadvertently made a 'snowboy' yesterday, but have three 'Snowmen' who generate bingo numbers each day (the first gives you a bingo card which you have to hold on to). I'm not sure what happens when you complete the card....

This is what Thonky.com says, but nothing obvious about a full house. I think he just takes your card away ?

    Snowman

The Snowman is made with a very large snowball as the base. He wears a top hat.
If you don't have a bingo card, talk to a Snowman to receive one. Keep in mind that the bingo card can't be dropped or thrown away. Then talk to a Snowman to get a new number on your bingo card. Each Snowman will give you one number per day. You can build multiple Snowmen in your town to get more bingo numbers per day. You can also get bingo numbers from Snowmen in other towns.
If you get five numbers in a line, vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, the Snowman will give you a prize and take away the bingo card. You can get a new one the next day. Here is a list of gifts that the Snowman can give you:
    • Bobsled
    • Curling stone
    • Lift chair
    • Ski rack
    • Slalom gate
    • Snow machine
    • Snowboard
    • Snowmobile
    • Ski-slope floor
    • Ski-slope wall
