I just blew my entire bell balance on cookies at the firework show. I've got two minauture cars and a dozen or so assorted fireworks to show for it.

Nook has just hit me with a 98,000 bell loan for my home improvements. I was coining it in with fish but then I went and accidentaly sold my rod! Looks like I'm going to be bug-hunting for a while....

What's the most amount you've managed to add on to something you've sold in the flea market? Got triple price for my miniature cars.....is more possible?

As for the flea market, I tend to increase the price offered by Reece x 3 and then when a villager comes in I just push them to the item till they do the exclamation marks!!! They always buy!!

I've yet to figure out the whole 'visiting other villages' thing, but I'll do my best. If the rod is gone tomorrow, you'll know I've cracked it!

I don't know if anyone else will find this useful but if you're building your museum collection and having trouble spotting the fake works of art at crazy Redd's and find yourself wasting money on fakes (whenever I go to his tent he normally has three fakes and one genuine item) I found this guide in spotting the differences very helpful, http://www.thonky.com/animal-crossing-new-leaf/paintings-works-of-art/.

I know your pain - this is something I've done more than once in the various incarnations of AC! I now keep a spare rod, net, axe and watering can in my dresser in case I do it again.....

I hate to break it to you, but in a few weeks you'll look back and DREAM of a Nook loan being only 98K bells - I'm on the final expansion of my rooms to 8 x 8, at 598K a pop!

I don't know if your island is opened up yet, but I've found the best way of making some quick cash is an evening visit to the island for a spot of bug catching - with all the giant beetles around, you can easily make 100k bells bringing a full box of bugs back.

I was struggling to fish for sharks until someone gave me a useful tip....close your eyes!

The sound of the bobber sinking happens a tiny bit before it visually sinks. With the volume up and my eyes closed, I'm catching them almost every attempt. Takes a bit of getting used to but definitely works.
