Please don't use mothballs. They are highly toxic to cats and can cause a long painful death.

I didn't know you could still buy mothballs!

Certainly wouldn't put those in my garden, they stink to high heaven!

Thanks for your reply but is anyone else with the same problem thinking "Sod that!".

They were going in the middle of my garden which at the minute looks a bit bare until the shrubs grow. I have weed suppressant down so don't want to be digging large holes plus I certainly don't want to have a cat litter tray bang in the middle of the garden (nowhere to hide it), plus I don't have soil to fill it and am not buying cat litter and am certainly not going out to empty the thing every day.

Isn't this going to encourage them? You are giving them an open invite into your garden aren't you?

'Arthur' seems to be doing his job standing guard at the minute so I would def rec people having a go at making a cat to stick in ther

Yeah I see your point: obviously not as aesthetically pleasing as netting, tent pegs and plastic water bottles.

Anyway if you know where the cat lives why don't you just post the t*rds through its owner's front door? One way or another that will soon sort the problem out. :T

Well, netting is green and at least looks like you are doing something in the garden, tent pegs are hidden, plastic water bottles do stand out but would intrigue anyone who doesn't know what they are for, but a cat litter tray stuck in the middle of my bark may be a bit of an eyesore as I can't bury it. ;)

I was thinking about bagging them up and chucking them on their drive but my husband isn't keen on the idea, wuss! :D

I went down the drive with the dog who just looked at the cat who was on its way behind our car, dog is useless and just looked at it! So I chucked a jug of water at it but missed (this is a few weeks ago).

As I was about to take the dog for a walk the cat owner came across the road towards me.

Here we go I thought. Anyway, she was totally apologetic regarding the cast coming into the garden and told me to chuck water on him if he came in again. She said they were taking both cats to the vets as they were having problems with them since they moved into their new house, behavioural probs but she didn't say what. They have got a baby so they think the cats may be jealous of that. She said they do have a litter tray which they use but she thinks someone may be feeding them as their mess is very sloppy which it isn't normally.

Our cats go nuts whenever someone (a human!) gets deep heat or the like sprayed on them. They love it! You'll have bonkers cats from miles around .
comping since august 2007, wins so far.....none! :rotfl:
