On our local radio this morning someone was suggesting the 'Scary cat Plant', PLECTRANTHUS ORNATUS. Apparently cats don't like the smell.
I've just had a quick google and can only find one supplier, it costs more for the postage than for one small plant so i'm trying to find somewhere else.
    Anyone heard of it ?

I've found this supplier now, can't see how much the postage is but can get a dozen plugs for the cost of two at the other place.

I had seen those and may get some in the future but I wanted something that would work straight away.

    Thanks for the links though.

    ;)

Nothing in the garden this morning, probably because it was tipping it down all night and this morning and the bark is too wet for them.

I bought a couple of those cat deterrent plants which were on sale in the local garden centre a couple of autumns ago, the problem was that they are annuals so the cold weather got them before they could grow and do the business. LOL!

I was just going to post this too! Seemed like a good idea at the time but it just went lanky and died at the first sign of cold!

We got some cat deterrent spray and it STINKS of garlic. Didn't realise that it would deter all other life forms too!

Ok, another pile this morning!

So much for the muscle spray.

Next phase, rags soaked in vinegar tied onto sticks.

I have just cut up an old pair of trousers, soaked some strips in white vinegar, tied them to small spikes and put them by the side of the plants near the bare area where the little sh*ts keep sh*tting!

Luckily we have a chinese supermarket nearby who sell 5 gallon bottles of white vinegar for £2.50.

    Wish me luck ;) .

Try a motion detecting water spray, all you have to do is set the spray up, with the water turned on, then as soon as it detects a motion of the cat ( not motion as in poo) it will let out a circular spray of water until the thing that set it off goes away. Simple.

We would have to go to the expense of getting an outdoor water tap fitted for that, not much I know but we are on a very tight budget at the minute.

I know the kits are not that much but my husband is totally useless at DIY and I don't fancy drilling a hole through the kitchen wall!
