Scs sofa

Father n mother in law recently bought a corner sofa and took advice from the sales woman about wether it was to be right or left handed
When it arrived it was the wrong way round the delivery guys would take it back without a ticket
They contacted the store to ask for a sofa the other way and have been told its there own fault for ordering the wrong thing in the first place.
Now I know it's not an excuse but there both pensioners and he's a former mine worker so not upto knowing which way round they needed hence took advise. Surely they should be within there rights to get the sofa they need without all this fuss that they don't need at there time of life

Their age and past employment aside, when they were in the store did they see the sofa and ask which side it was?
This is very important to know what law could apply here.

This is unfortunately going to be a 'he said she said' type of thing. The company has no way to know what the sales assistant said. However, it is of course worth a try!

    Good Morning,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues your in laws had with their suite. Has this been resolved now or would you like me to look into this for them?

    Many Thanks

Ive seen the sales assistants draw the right way round shape on an order form before to save confusion, that would be easier!! Hope you get a refund op!
