JSA - under 25 - having to sign on every week and far away from home?

She is not signing every week, she is attending weekly. There is a difference!!! She will, if she ask, be refunded for her off cycle attendance!!
OP has been told this at least five times, and has so far refused to acknowledge it. Unfortunately her daughter is the one who will miss out as a result.0 -

Where there is a JC 15 min away in a safe area?
Only because some pen pusher decided it is a great idea to place U25 advisers in "regeneration area"?
On this point - government estate resource is limited. Most offices are at capacity for staff - there is no more space but not enough staff for the number of claimants in a given area. The U25 office may have been the only available estate to use and the only way to ensure offices were not overcrowded with claimants.
You should not make assumptions, and describing DWP staff as pen-pushers is offensive.0 -

So many really aggressive replies on here I can not believe it.
As I said before, it lacks any logic - the whole set up.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Considering that you claim to be a higher rate taxpayer (!) your attitude doesn't seem logical to me.
Not logical? Really?
Paying out more and more and getting nothing back in any shape or form - my attitude is very logical.
I would prefer my tax to directly benefit my daughter when she needs it and not some lazy bums who have never ever worked.0 -

Anything else?
Was wondering when the extra info to boost the argument would come along. Usually does when answers aren't what an OP is looking for. Time to leave this one. It's someone else's fault.0 -

No she will not be refunded anything - she asked and she was told she will not be refunded any travel costs to any of those weekly sign in sessions.0 -

Of course, do as you please.
You obviously feel that this is ok - hope you signing on in a similar place and are being asked for spare cash/fag on the way to/from the place. Hope you enjoy and do not feel threatened.0 -

Couldn't she just take a part time NMW job so she doesn't have to sign on at all? I would, but I have to take into account childcare issues.
The best answer on here, thanks a lot for that. Of course this is the best option and we will work on this one. The sooner the better.0 -

she could walk for free, so no need for any travel costs, i don't buy that its an unsafe area, i think your just a snob who thinks your daughter shouldn't have to "go through" all this...0 -
So mum worrying about her daughter safety is a snob now?
Good one...0
