They would not admit to living there. The GFC used to stand for global financial crisis. Now it stands for the global financial catastrophe.0 -

I tell you right now, that if someone squatted in my house, I'd kick seven shades of crap out of them as soon as I could.
Cheeky sods.
Then you would almost certainly be at her majesties pleasure, and they would get a fat payout. They would also almost certainly wreck the place on the way out as well if they are forcibly evicted and could not stay there any longer.
If the property owner is nice to the squatters they often do the place up. Especially if the property owner provides some paint and tools. I mean if it was just an empty building they were not using for anything.
The lesson is if you are a property owner do not leave your buildings empty, and if you do and you find squatters in there then be nice to them. If you want them to look after the place then why not suggest buying some paint and some things for them to do the work? The GFC used to stand for global financial crisis. No the lesson is for people not to be sponging, thieving squatters. Simple as that. I would NOT be nice to a squatter in MY property. What on god's green earth makes you think that squatters deserve respect?0 -

Now I know you're on the wind up if you think squatters do houses up HA HA!
As for leaving property empty.....its entirely upto the landlord that has worked hard for their property to do as they wish,0 -

With millions of empty properties in the UK and a housing crisis every human being deserves basic human rights.
I just read a book about the moneyless man. Mark Boyal he just wrote a new book called the moneyless manifesto. It can be read for free online, and he talks a lot about squatting. Also talks about gorilla gardening and making use of disused things. The GFC used to stand for global financial crisis. Now it stands for the global financial catastrophe.0 -

If you own a property it's up to you what you do with it.
What you said is like saying that if I had two cars, and one was just for lets say off roading in summer, then it would be quite all right for some thieving scum to just come and take it.
Can't you understand, if something doesn't belong to you, then leave it alone, it's not yours.0 -

Yes, but those human rights also include working for a living, or JSA if they are looking for work, housing benefits, etc... They don't include the right to just take another persons property. But if they do, then they can always have accommodation, heat, food, and water, at Her Majesties Pleasure.0 -
With millions of empty properties in the UK ....
We estimate that there are 920,000 empty homes across the UK
