People moaning about the Royal Baby

If we gained a public holiday for it's arrival, then i might give a modicum of a s***.
As it is, the news coverage and subsequent social media backlash are both as tedious as one another.0 -

If any families have done that to their own arrivals, shame on them. Really us 'normal' people (as if the royals are abnormal) don't expect sky news camping outside the hospital when we go into labour so it would hardly be a disappointment to us.....
Happy moneysaving all.0 -
I think it's lovely that a nice couple have had a baby I hope that he brings them many years of happiness. I think the media coverage should calm down and give them some privacy. This is our future king of course it's important news.
I don't know how the baby will be sponging off the UK tax payers his father works for the RAF and I'm not sure what Kate does but good luck to them a young couple. We should be more angry about a woman that can't keep her legs closed has 10 kids has a house built and then say's she doesn't like it and we have to build her a new one!!
I'm not a big fan of the royal family but I think William and Kate deserve as much happiness as the next person.0 -
I'm glad mum and baby are well, but apart from that, I really don't care one way or the other. I don't generally watch the news or read newspapers, so the news of a royal baby isn't going to have me immediately switching on or rushing out to buy a paper.
I have a lovely royalist colleague at work, she's all agog at the news, can't wait to hear what his names will be etc, but she's about the only one in the office who gives much of a monkeys about it all.0 -
To be fair I don't think they are living off a Flight Louie's wage!:rotfl:0

The royal family are a waste of space who cost far too much and give too little back.
Do you not get £20.30/week for you daughter?0 -
Duchess Doolittle may have been employed by Jigsaw, but it's debatable whether she managed to do anything remotely resembling work..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I'm not a republican by any means and the birth of this baby has me grinning like a loon, but I think those that do object do so validly and to accuse them of being hypocrites is nonsensical.
I don't think the taxpayer does fork over much, if anything. The Crown Estate makes a profit of about £250 million a year, and 15% of that goes to the Royal Family. Even taking into account security, upkeep, all sorts of other things, taxpayers are quids in....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

It really gets my goat when people say "It's me who's paying for them", when they don't have a clue what they're talking about.
Absolutely, just imagine all the revenue created by novelty mugs and tat like that in the next few weeks!Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0
