Mine is 15.5 hrs a week after lunch breaks and lasts 6 weeks 3 days a week but will get a retail knowledge level 2 award from the college could be worse i guess being put on the generic CV,Application form etc course but i still have the joy of seeing my advisor yet a mate i was speaking to has the same advisor and seen her once since finishing his WP in the last month and his JSAG wasn't altered to look/apply for more jobs.

Guess it is if your face fits they are more lenient with you :(.
Are you looking for retail work? Do you have retail experience?

That's not 100% true as I am not on one.

These courses seem to be country wide but you've said they do nothing with you which may be why?

If they are country wide we would all be on one, no? But not if we aren't put on one so we aren't all doing the same at all.

Very like the WP no structure at all.

there are obviously courses everywhere. the one i am one is designed and run by a local company. they all tend to have alot in common though.

I googled recently for jobcentre assaults and found surprisingly few stories about advisers being socked on the kisser. Maybe those who derive thrills from raising sanction doubts and sending people to a procession of useless courses have developed a sixth sense not to push some people too far for fear of an emergency visit to the dentist.

An old boozing acquaintance of mine worked at one when sanctions were a rarity. He felt more vulnerable about the possibility of his car or home being damaged by those customers he had upset.

you requested one from where? The WP?

I was told they cant give it to you so my JC has to request it for me and it took ages.

Make sure what the put on it matches what you say as mine didn't and I am still in dispute with them.

  • My JC told me yesterday they don't read the exit reports and alot of either lies/made up.

I had my first appointment after the WP yesterday. She's put my on a 1 hour group session to listen to someone talk about looking for work, i then have to see her the day after.
