great fun today signing on. handed over my 2 full forms of sh**e and get told, you need to record more jobs in your evidence. i said i make an effort to ensure everything the jsa agreement requires is shown and that only says 3 jobs(i do do more). the response was no that is spec jobs. there actually is no minimum requirement for applying for actual jobs. the adviser just said i should show more. i said but that will mean filling in 3 forms per fortnight and i think that 2 is enough. they then suggested combining each website search into one slot to save space. so it may make things easier but what a pain in the a**e they are.0

I only list jobs I have applied for and filled in 5 sheets last time and NO ONE even looked at them!
I asked for more sheets and was given one so I said I need more than that so he handed me 2!!! LOL
I keep a separate list of companies I have sent spec letters and CVs too and have shown them this but they are not interested. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Are you listing job searches or job applications?

to answer your question i have been trying to show i do what my jsa agreement requires and that requires 3 websites per day. so i record that. they now want me to condense this down and use the freed up space to record more of the jobs i apply for. even though there is nothing on the jsa agreement requiring us to apply for any jobs at all.0 -

On mine it says I will apply to a minimum of 10 jobs a week as well as the steps etc and the spec letters0

donnajunkie wrote: »the part where it says write to employers that is spec apps apparently. if yours also says apply for 10 jobs that must have been written in the box below because theres no set sentence for it anywhere on the agreement.
Write to at least 5 employers a week
Phone at least 4 employers a week (I don't call as I have no £ to pay the bill and this has never been questioned, I just think they have to put something in each box)
Visit at least 1 employer a week (who does this really? How many companies will you get to see? How many companies will let you get past the security on the front desk with no appointment? A waste of time and money if you have any to travel round London with)
Check your universal job match account 2 times a week (told them I look every day and I do not have an account. Shown them how I apply for jobs and shown them over 4,000 spam jobs on there!)
Will look in 3 newspapers each week
Will take a minimum of 4 steps a week to find a job
Will apply to a min of 10 jobs a week
Keep a written record of activity
Keep in touch with agencies (which I do when I follow up applications etc)
Use specialist websites (been doing so - why tell me something I am already doing)We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

IF however you get the name and email of a person you can email and have a better chance of a reply. I have had 4 replies recently. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
You and me know if you call it will be screened and unless you have a direct number to the person you want to talk to its useless and where I worked we took no calls and reception told them always that we had no jobs and no one would call us direct as they couldn't get our number.

OR ask to see how its done and can someone demonstrate a call to the HR team at KPMG for example
