Why is nothing ever clear, ive heard must sign on every day, must sign on 3 times a week. Whats that going to achieve and the jc will need more staff.
Also how are they going to police community work, will that create jobs, if your doing community work how can you look for a job, there are too many unajswered questions.:footie:0 -
I wonder if people are going to be insured to do these 'jobs' and have any liability on the streets when picking up the rubbish
There was a woman on SKY a while ago who in unemployed and the Tory MP on the TV was telling her if she is applying for jobs and not getting s response she needs to speak to the JC as they will be able to give her guidance. Saying that they are the specialists in employment and it must be something the woman was doing wrong as she should be getting interviews. This woman was well spoken and well presented and she was furious with good reason. She said she has spoken to a number of people at the JC and they can not help her.
I mean anyone would think the JC can get you interviews when no one has any power to do so.
Also I think it was Adam Boulton who mentioned discrimination against the unemployed!
Seriously? If the jobcentre are that good then why was there job clubs, new deal, fnd and WP? Do these ones think before they speak?0 -

These people get air time on the TV but they need to give air time to the people who are doing these things and have experience on the WP and are attending the JC.We’ve had to remove your signature. The problem with the BBC/and local news is that its basically an extension of the government anyway. Its hardly impartial and basically just spews out what they are told to say. They wont say it like it is unless their hand is really up their back.
Just look at what happened with Jimmy Saville and nothing was done. Loads of people knew about that. Nobodies really bothered about the unemployed, the poor and powerless.
The government know damn well that all the work programmes etc wont work or signing on daily etc. They are advised by top economists and do know how it is but of course they wont say.0 -

People can not grasp this : if you can't get an interview for whatever reason, you can not get a job. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Don't worry the local undertakers will be recruiting as the sucide rate goes up
I urge you all to vote out these torys in 2015 !0 -
This was on Sky news and it was just a joke. They have just spoken to a bloke who has been out of work 6 months and he says he looks every day for work and has not had one interview.
People can not grasp this : if you can't get an interview for whatever reason, you can not get a job.
People also cannot grasp that; there just are not enough jobs to go round, and no amount of basic training, and daft programmes, signing on every day or every minute will change this ever. This is the fundamental issue.
I cant see them getting all the unemployed to pick up litter or make old folk dinners because then it will put home carers and street cleaners out of work!.0 -

The powers that be seem to think its everyone's fault
Will we all have to have CRB checks to do that for the old too? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
