  • I cant see them paying for all those CRB checks, no way. Also the jobcentres will not be able to cope with everyone signing on every day.
The Jobcentres have been laying off and I cant see them taking on loads of new staff.Unless they get unemployed people to sign each other on!

the poster may be right due to the difficulties. so they may target people they dont like or people that they dont think are doing enough who also happen to be longterm unemployed.
  • It'll empower the advisers even more. Those claimants who they dislike and/or deem are not totally subservient to their every whim will get the worst option, which I presume will be 30 hours a week searching for jobs at jobcentre computers.

30 hour jobs search the job centre are probably not going to work as it will include everyone who signs at that branch of the JC, all at the same time. What is the cost going to be for PC's and travel to and from the JC on the non signing days?

Wonder if someone has added this all up. And since you cant use your mobile in the job centre what if during the 30 hours an employer calls you?

Community sork is for people who have broken the law, so how will that work, its nothing more than a hare brained scheme whivh will cost money to set up.

Why is it being called 'Help To Work' ? If we are stuck doing 30 hours community work or in a training room classroom indefinately we won't even be available for work let alone being helped into work. If people are expected to travel to and from these community placements or training premises then that could add an extra 10 hours per week on so we could be doing something for our JSA for 40 hours per week.

I thought their rules state we have to be available for work and job seeking to get our JSA ?

For those who have to go to the jobcentre for 6 hours a day you cannot answer your phone in there also we may not wish to login to our email account on shared computers so how are we going to be available to answer the phones and emails about interviews ?

Same goes for 30 hours community work or training we wont be at home or allowed to answer our mobile phones.

If we are out of the house 40 hours per week where does the time come from to be actively seeking work or being available for work ?

If this does go ahead in April maybe they should be scrapping this pwps now. A lot of wp leavers are having to do this pwps for 6 months now or at least until next April. Some have been sent on MWA or daily job centre apps or training courses. Maybe wp leavers should be left alone now until next April so they can just apply for anything and everything knowing what April brings may be just the incentive some people will need to up their job searching.
