I didn't see mandate in that post, i saw reasonable. Strange you perceived something that wasn't said.donnajunkie wrote: »they said they can mandate a job that finishes at 2.30pm if you have a limit of 2pm. i agreed that if they said would you be willing to apply for that job then its ok for them to do that. mandating them to do it is wrong. theres a reason why the person has put the limit at 2pm and not 2.30pm. if 2.30pm was ok they would have put that. unless they are clueless they would win any appeal.0 -
donnajunkie wrote: »you would have to prove they saw them surely? the fact that they should have been able to find them isnt proof they did. secondly you are supposed to be willing to do all jobs you can do. i have never seen anything saying you must apply for every job you can do. you are taking liberties here and must be sanctioning every person you see if you really follow this line. do you realise how many catalogue distributor jobs on ujm there are? legally you must fulfill your jsa agreement and if you can prove you are doing that i cant see a sanction sticking.
well considering i have a 95% adverse decision rate, my referrals are always appropriate. I don't sanction people willy nilly you know. And where have I stated someone needs to apply for every job they see.
I'm simply pointing out the disparity between when a customer says they have done everything they can and apply for 5 then I look and can find lots more they could have reasonably applied for over a 2 week period.0 -

if someone stops applying once they reach their quota as you put it then it is none of your or the jobcentres business. has the person fulfilled whats expected is what they look for. anything they do after that is between them and the employers.
The log sheets you love to talk about are specific to your JC. The ones we have at mine I designed so really is irrelevant0 -

I believe that is the number of spec letters you should be sending however my adviser said that job applicators count in that figure as well. I have learnt via these boards that I was told incorrectly.
No you wasn't told incorrectly, its just how your advisor interprets it. I do the same as long as the info is written communication with an employer its acceptable to me.0 -
I don't think otherwise I said they deserve it as they seem to think as its not written down don't do it. They seem to think I am making up the part when I say the JC are not hassling me at all.sensibleadvice wrote: »I don't like or dislike anyone on here, because its a mostly anon online forum.
I agree people deserve the !!!! they get from JC, not sure why you'd think otherwise? We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

it has the bit where it states how many i have to write to but that is open to interpretation because whether advertised or not you are writing to them. when i record my jobs on the sheets if its a ujm job i put the job id. if anything else like a spec i just put the job title, employer and date.So your JSA says nothing at all about applying for real job adverts or spec letters?0 -
because it doesnt specify spec or advertised they are allowing you to interpret that as you wish. they cant say it means something it doesnt actually say and get away with it. people arent mind readers. if you are right and it means spec then think about how that fits with a poster saying a person only doing specs is a sanctionable offence.iammumtoone wrote: »On your jsag what number is in the box on the top right that states write to at least x employers per week?
