No you wasn't told incorrectly, its just how your advisor interprets it. I do the same as long as the info is written communication with an employer its acceptable to me.
Thanks, what is the guidance of how it should be interpreted? as 'interpreted' to be means that two difference advisers could interpret it differently. For example my adviser says it is specs + applications another adviser I see on a different day may interpret it as specs only and I haven't done enough (but have done what my original adviser said) so I am then sanctioned!
It is actually irrelevant to me as I treat it as spec letters only and apply for jobs on top but just saying how it seems that some can get sanctioned when they did follow the rules what they were told.
How would the decision market interpret it?0 -

so really you are saying you can interpret anything how you like and ignore the rules if you fancy sanctioning someone. its purely personal opinion which brings more chance of success spec or advertised. personally i have had more success from spec. i do do both though.no there isnt a rule but if somebody is only do spec applications and nothing else, are they giving themselves the best chance of find work? No, so yes that equals a sanction.0 -

How on earth you came to that conclusion from what I said, I'll never know.
Have you ever seen a jsag that says just do spec applications????0 -
that is why it usually gets specified on a jsa agreement the minimum expected to prevent the person not applying for enough like in the example you give. otherwise a person wont know where they stand as it is always going to be possible for an adviser to go online and find a job the person hasnt applied for. what you seem to be saying makes the figures agreed to on the jsa agreement meaningless.well considering i have a 95% adverse decision rate, my referrals are always appropriate. I don't sanction people willy nilly you know. And where have I stated someone needs to apply for every job they see.
I'm simply pointing out the disparity between when a customer says they have done everything they can and apply for 5 then I look and can find lots more they could have reasonably applied for over a 2 week period.0 -
so if it was a job on another site and they wanted to see the advert you do not have enough info on the sheet for them to look it up, do you?donnajunkie wrote: »it has the bit where it states how many i have to write to but that is open to interpretation because whether advertised or not you are writing to them. when i record my jobs on the sheets if its a ujm job i put the job id. if anything else like a spec i just put the job title, employer and date. We’ve had to remove your signature. Christmas Day is a Public Holiday for everyone.Yes THEY chose to job search on Xmas day as its a normal day for job searching and should not be treated any differently just likes Gay guys post once about job seeking at the sodding weekends!
There need to be safeguards so that jobseekers are not expected to look 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The common sense and safeguards from DWP, Jobcentres and advisors is lacking.0 -
i have seen 3 totally different designs in my jc. i have also used sheets from providers that are differently designed again. i have even written on a blank sheet of paper before. so long as it is clear you are doing enough they dont care what form it takes. i believe the rules allow you to present your evidence in anyway you wish, even verbally. The log sheets you love to talk about are specific to your JC. The ones we have at mine I designed so really is irrelevant0 -

A bit like your trolling posts need policing.sensibleadvice wrote: »Another 'do the very minimum to keep a grasp on benefits' post. Such minimum in, moan at every conceivable thing along the way making sad excuses types posts are indicative of types who don't want to work.
Clearly you didn't grasp the point a jobseeker might actually WANT to find a job.0
