It says it on my JSA to apply for 10 actual jobs at least per week then there is a list of other things they expect to see.
But then its common sense to actually try to apply for real jobs.0 -

You see how easy it is for a claimant who is unaware of what is actually being said to nit pick, get it all around their neck then blame someone else for their lack of comprehension.0 -
I cant believe anybody would apply for spec ones only and not fill out the applied for jobs.
i know someone who applied for 6 jobs and the on spec ones and they lied and said he hadnt applied for any advertised vacancies. Luckily he could prove he had. What is going on with the jc are they lying or are they incompetent.0 -
donnajunkie wrote: »there is space where they can specify something like that but if they dont put it in that box then there isnt anything saying that. theres a bit saying you must write to so many per week. this could easily be specs.
Do you stop applying when you've reached your quota despite the fact there may be opportunities that you subsequently miss out on?0 -

If anyone is seriously saying this then they will have no place in the work place as they really must be that dim!
The lowest amount of jobs I applied for in a 7 day period was the week of Xmas 2012 and that was 13! I still however managed to apply for 34 over the 14 day period and 10 spec letters.
I do not believe there is not one person who really needs telling to apply for a job! We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
