After the Work Programme

This 'negative mindset' is brought on by the likes of the Work Program.
When I first went along I was looking forward to it because I was under the misapprehension it might actually help get me back into work. I actually believed some of the sales pitch they were throwing out.
When you realise there is nothing they can do for you and their 'pitch' was a pack of lies, are you supposed to feel enthused?0 -

On my appointments, get asked the usual question of "what help do you need" I always say "have you any leads for jobs" the answer is always no, yet that was what we were promised at the start, so the options are, CV training, interview training, that's it, so I just say thanks and leave, tas I've done those courses, that's how all my appointments have gone, and they get paid a load of this, it would be funny if it wasn't the tax payers money paying for this.
Luckily I have just got a job, found the lead myself, yet they are all excited as they know they will get a bonus and I was told, "you know you still HAVE to keep in touch whilst working" I just smiled :rotfl:0 -

Why shouldn't the long term unemployed take responsibility for their own situation?
I,ll ask you again.
Should people lie and say they had a great experience? A simple yes or no will suffice.0 -

Everything I don't need the work programs help to do.

I think they do take responsibility for their own situation.
You're assuming that because they criticize a wholly inadequate system that they are not.0 -

How is being forced onto a program for two years you have no need of or faith in taking responsibility?!?!0 -

In effect what you are doing is saying the WP is superfluous to the needs of the average jobseeker and is a scandalous waste of £5 Billion. Not to mention its previous failing inccarnations such as New and Flexible New Deal.
You are being very repetitive and sound like a fourth rate self help manual.0
