Just signed on and been told by advisor that i have an interview with a food factory on monday. Is this mandatory what happens if i dont go, ive never been and worked in a food factory in my life.
i would think it is mandatory. if it doesnt appeal then just dont try that hard to get it. if there are valid issues like your lack of experience dont be shy in pointing them out at the right moments.

yes i know your adviser probably knew but as you know they dont really care. you may end up being surprised and find the job appealing. you know what to do if you dont, just be subtle.
  • I would try and get the job if possible. It can't be worse than signing on and having to deal with the constant BS from Jobcentre and other providers.
  • I'd try and get the job if I were you, might not be exactly what you are after, but you will end up in a better place. You may even enjoy it (depending on what type of food factory it is).

Clearly you've never worked on a food production line!

Anyway, I doubt red devil speaks Polish so she's unlikely to get the job.:rotfl:

if you've not found one of the myriad Christmas temp jobs available by now

Would that be one of the myriad of temp jobs that have already been filled with unpaid forced labour from the Jobcentres?

You're really not living in the real world are you John?

Why would they need to send you messages for jobs when you are looking on it?

Because it opens up another possibility to sanction claimants if they fail to apply for those jobs.

Not if you don't give them access
