Well its this simple, don't attend and your Jobcentre advisor will find out and you will get your money stop, for how long depends on the sanction. can you afford to loose your JSA?

Also you stated its Mandatory, well if its Mandatory then 100% you will get sanctioned if you fail to attend as its arranged by Jobcentre.

suppose if you get sanctioned you lose your hb as well then. Also they can ask you to go again and repeat the request so you couldnt keep rdfusing everytime.

No, Your housing benefit won't be affected as its based on nil income however if you do get a sanction and you loose your JSA then first thing call in your council and tell them what's happend and then their will make a fresh new claim :)

Send you on this? You said its a job interview? A placement should be dropped as soon as you get a job.

Full time job, can they do this.

Help you get a job? Yes, that's what they are there for (among other things).

Good luck with the interview, it must be tough being out of work at this time of year.

I wouldn't would rule it out, go for the interview, you don't know any thing about the job once you get there you might find you like the sound of it. If nothing else its interview practice, something that will help in future.

If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been unemployed? Just womdering when you start to get this kind of help. I would be grateful if the job center lined up an interview for me.
