More expensive? maybe? not just tough this time of year perhaps tougher would be a better way of putting it?

I don't see how it is, but still. It can't be more expensive ifyou have not £ to begin with. Xmas has not existed for me since I lost myjob nor has any birthdays.

but we know you don't have to

I know and he knows that
Their script seems to be to get people to allow access so they can message you with jobs to apply for and how it saves paper, they omit that it's easier to sanction etc

I wouldn't would rule it out, go for the interview, you don't know any thing about the job once you get there you might find you like the sound of it. If nothing else its interview practice, something that will help in future.

If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been unemployed? Just womdering when you start to get this kind of help. I would be grateful if the job center lined up an interview for me.
You get help (well they say it is) once you have been out of work 1 year as the Work Programme will help (ok I say help that's what they are meant to do) you.

Why would they need to send you messages for jobs when you are looking on it? Ask them if I apply for all the jobs you send me what can you do if I meet the criteria to get me an interview?

Weather's turned bad, nights have closed in, and if you've not found one of the myriad Christmas temp jobs available by now, then it's looking as though you may have missed the boat a bit there, too.

Which time of year do you find the hardest, if not this one?

I guess having no heating may make it bad but every day is as bad as the last or the next.

It's their spiel to persuade me
I think they think people may miss jobs?
They can do nothing to help - no need to ask

Yeah I know that but if they think you are missing jobs it makes no difference if you cant get the interview in the first place.

Of course I have thought about a lot of things. :D

The spiel they give is they can show you jobs on the UJM. So what, its not a job interview or an job offer. They need to get people interviews and they cant make the employer interview you.
