ah yes, thanks, i didn't realise that they were called badger badge

They are probably called 'user badges' officially.
(That's what they are called on the tab on the user profile page.)

But they didn't seem to have any obvious name other than 'badge' when they first came out (thread here) which seemed to me to be a bit vague, so as they were supposedly handed out by 'the badger' I started calling them 'badger badges'.

Have they taken them away again, fermi?
Your badges are no longer visible on my screen - just the

    message.

    Hmm ...
None of the badges are now visible if you click on that link, either.
I can see medals, avatars, thumbnails down RHS all fine, just no badges.
    Odd!

I see them just fine. Clear your cache or try another browser, as they are there?

    Thanks, fermi.
In Opera now, and I can see them OK.
Was in Firefox, still can't work out what is wrong there. Only been logged on a short while. Needs more checking.

ETA: sorted out my Firefox problem. :):o

Why give a badge after the event; i want one before, i mean i could come up with clever ideas if i have a badge - i'm not free, i'm not cheap however i'm on topic :D When the forum is re designed could some of us have badges for giving you an idea (any idea) (about making mse to the top or go global), please. Well, the ideas may not be practical :o or make it to the email tips but still it should be seen as an idea :D

you know these tiny buttons saying thanks, reply, quote etc, it shouldn't have rounded edges - it is little old fasioned

they have to be crips, classic and straight, imo

i also think they have a cartoon feel to it because of the color, the color needs to be toned down a bit

There are some email tips on the top right hand side. However if you click on it, it takes you to the email page.

i wanted to click on the santander link. However it took me to the email page and then i have to work my way through all that clutter to find the santader offer and then again work through a big article to find the offer itself (most of the time, i've got lost even before i get there). i think that needs to change. The email offers should be clickable to the offer itself instead of making it a tedious jounry to find out about the offer, imo. i have been meaning to post this for a while because it has always been a turn off when i click on one offer or the other only to be taken to that page instead of viewin the link.

I agree. Or it should take you to the email page positioned at the relevant point.
[I suspect that the reason it does it like it does is to encourage people to sign up to the email itself.]

the priority should be imo to make it look userfriendly before inviting people to join

user friendly means it should be easy and not exhausting
