How many houses to view

Hello, I'm all new to this forum business so please forgive me if I do any of this wrong! I am currently looking to buy my first house with my partner, we have been to see 3 houses and really liked one. Can I ask how many houses have people viewed before they put an offer in?
I know there is no real answer to this but I would be interested to hear from other people how long it took them to find "the one "
Thanks
Abbi

We're FTBs too, currently living in a rented flat. We saw in excess of 15-20 properties before we found one we liked enough to put an offer on. Unfortunately, this sale fell though and we saw another 6 before having an offer accepted yesterday on what we're hoping is 'the one'.0

There's no answer. Some people view too many and can never decide, so never do. But as soon as you see "the one" you'll know. Trouble comes that with each viewing your "ideal list" might grow.... so you'll never find "the one".0

we have been looking for 4 months and have looked at what seems like hundreds of houses, it is probably about averaging 3 a week,
we haven't put an offer in for any as of yet
so if you have seen one you like after only looking at 3 you are very lucky0 -
First time around I think we viewed 3/4 houses then found the one however that fell through due to the survey. We then looked at another 5 houses then found the one we bought.
This time round and I've been a nightmare! I think it was 20/25 houses before I put in my first offer. That fell through as 4.5 months and the vendors hadn't done anything about moving etc. I then viewed another 10 houses found one but got outbid. Another 15 houses later and I've now found the one! This house has nothing that was on my list when I started looking (apart from off street parking) but I'm very excited.
My only advice is go with your gut feeling. Good luck!0 -

Oh no! I don't think there are even 15-20 in my area for sale, I'm already very fussy!
I hope this one is the one for you!0 -
The right house is the one that gives you a gut feeling that it is the right one.
The first house I viewed did that for me. I viewed another 3 before putting an offer in so I had something to compare it to. That sale ended up falling when the vendors changed their mind and decided not to sell. I then viewed another 5 houses before seeing another I wanted to offer on. I ended up buying that house.0 -

My parents have spent the last 33 years looking for their perfect house.
They finally found it this week.
DH and I bought this house 8 years ago. We only saw this one and offered the same day.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Moved in last weekend. The only house we viewed this time around0

Pointless question.
You might love the 1st house you see and stop looking.
Or be like me: very specific requirements and no urgency to move: I've seen 13 houses over the last 18 months - still looking...0 -
gosh I must be very fussy or looking for something that doesn't exist,
I don't think I have 33 years left,0
