I am new to this thread and noticed people post pictures, all the meals look lovely but is everyone on a diet?
I think I really must eat too much, not really thought about it before but there is definitely more on my plate than others are eating. Time to cut down I think, at least it will help with the budget0 -
Great advice here, but if its going to cost you to go back to store, busfare or petrol etc, then just phone or email them. if no joy email head office, you will get refund or a goodwill payment. As Flo says dont let them get away with it.

As I have got older - I eat less. I am in my sixties and when younger used to eat lots more.

I am not overweight in the fact BMI is within range, but do carry a few extra pounds. I've noticed as I head towards 40  i have not been burning it off so quick. I do put too much on my plate I can't get used to cooking small amounts for just me and ds (when ex was here he would eat loads) and hate to see waste so end up eating it!0 -
Well I've finally calmed down now!! Stomped around the house for a bit grumbling to myself and the cat, then went to the shop and bought a packet of biscuits! After munching my way through the ENTIRE packet and drinking gallons of tea, I feel much better!! :rotfl:
Yes I know the biscuits will have upped my spends, but sometimes these things just have to be done!! No point being miserable when all it takes is a 60p packet of biscuits to cheer you up!!
Thanks for the advice Flo and Meg :T
Luckily I can walk into town, and I also have a free bus pass, so no travel costsbut I'm not very good at complaining etc in person as I suffer with anxiety and have quite frequent panic attacks
Although, if I get so upset that I have an attack while complaining, it would probably make them sort out the problem super quick!!
Will definitely go to Mr T as that should be easy to sort out. Will see how I feel after that and then decide if I can manage at Wilkos or not. Like you say, there's always email
So anyway, back to the challenge! I'm putting my spends for today down as £2.04 (although that's not strictly true!) but I'm doing this challenge in a way that works for me so that's what is going down! I don't get to the shops very often (don't leave my house very often!) so I buy what I need for now and a little for later in the week/month and keep all my receipts. Then as I open something new, I cross it off the receipt and add the amount to my spends. Hope that makes sense and isn't cheating!!:ADFW Nerd 145

Haven't we all got a few pounds we want to lose ;-)
I hate waste too, so almost everything gets frozen if I can't eat it for dinner. I also love an easy nights cooking and am more than happy to warm something up. As I tend to cook everything from scratch, it feels like bit of a treat to just take a dinner out the freezer!GC Sept '13: £249.05/£250, NSDs: 9/7!! :j

I used to do the same when last son left home !!
Now I just put enough on our plates and 'overs' go in small bags in the freezer in an 'overs' tub.
Hm stews and similar get added together when enough and recycled as soup (with a tin of beans and herbs if necessary).
Small portions of things like hm shepherd's pie/ macaroni cheese etc I have with veggies when DH has something I don't eat such as sausages :money:
Shopping today - I like it less and less as time goes by
Loads of fruit and veg and some milk at Al*i = £15.32
Toilet rolls, yogurts, bananas and YS flatbreads = £3.04
So shop today = £18.36 - I have amended my total£10day.2014=3213/2015=3421/2016=3238/2017=2702/2018=498..APR=12.03/300

Yay finally got some reduced carrots x 2 packs in my local shop, also got celery, tomatoes and peppers all at 20p.
So a 1.00 spend, very pleased, have now not been in the SM for 10 days now, my DD thinks they will go bankrupt, scarky,, I did tell her I am doing my bit to support local shop but she dosent think relieving them of the mega reduced is helping them that much, but was very pleased with the reduced potatoes I had for her.
You'd have loved my Mr M today, they had crates of fruit and veg reduced at the door. Unfortunately, I didn't need any and couldn't have squeezed it in anywhere so missed a trickGC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 Jul £134.25/£150 Aug £119.37/£150 £92.09/£150‼️Sep £/£160 Oct (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. If you have Twitter then consider complaining to Tesco on Twitter. They ALWAYS respond to me, have complained 4 times this year, and the most recent example was when I was 'ripped off' an £8 voucher at the till thanks to the moronic till operator, I complained on Twitter 'BLANKED (insert swear word there) off with Tesco, ripping me off £8, F word' they replied all sweetness and light and within 3 days I had a £15 moneycard in the post.
If you don't have Twitter and want a hand then let me know, alternatively e-mailing their customer service works the same way and it is generally the Twitter team that reply to e-mails too so they know if you e-mail and then mention them on Twitter who you are.
Hope I've helped, sorry if not xxThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
