Isn`t that the way though, I always seem to see really good reductions when my freezers full and no room., but there again its full because I have bought reductions so shouldnt really complain:rotfl: but I do.Slimming World at target0 -
Change of meal plan for me today, weather is cold wet and Orrible, so dont fancy my cold meat and pickles, have ransacked the freezer for something to stew, not sure if its beef I`ve found or not yet but in the slowcooker its going with the veg, and oh bliss I am going to have dumplings as well.

PANDORA i emailed Wilkinsons once (i wasn't prepared to travel back 15 miles to the store) and they sent me a £5 gift card. Might be worth a shot if you don't want to go back to customer services?

A couple of spends to add from yesterday. £3.00 on dog chews in pets at home and £11.86 in A5da on 5kg of potatoes as they didnt have any other size bag, bananas, baking marg, butter, crisps and pop for DH.
I need to double check my receipts as I bought some stuff to make a birthday gift and I can't remember if I deducted it or not.
I made the lemon puddings from AGCJ blog for pudding last night. They were delicious and very easy to make. I am going to try a jam version and a ginger and syrup version over the next couple of weeks:)
The rocky roads I made on Saturday are amazing and I will be making those again.
Carbonara form the Cheap Family Recipes site for tea tonight with HM garlic pizza bread. There are 2 lemon puddings left from last night so I will warm them up in the microwave and have with a dollop of ice cream.:)
My total now stands at £284.44. If I am going to match last months figure I have only got £4.49 left which doesn't seem possible TBH. We are away this weekend so will be fed Saturday night and we are out for a family meal on Sunday but will need bread for this week and next week and fruit for next week.
I am running low on GF bread but will probably stick the bread maker on tonight. I also have some leeks that need to be turned into soup. I am planning to have a sup and pudding night this week with leek and potato soup, cheese and onion bread followed by Danish sytyle pear and ginger cake. I hope this will be enough to fill up my DH!
I have everything in for my meal plan this week:
M - Carbonarra and GF garlic pizza bread
T - Sausage and mash with veg and gravy for DH and beans for me
W - Leek and Potato soup, GF C&O bread and GF pear and ginger cake
Th - GF Chiken Kiev with lots of veg and saute potatoes
F - Fakeaway! Chicken curry x 2, rice and peas and HM chips or naan
Sa - Mum is feeding us
Su - Soup or cheese toasties as out for Sunday lunch

I'm in the baking mood.... So.... Shortbread is in the oven and i'm making chocolate caramel shortbread. Found a tin of condensed milk and had just enough semolina in to make it without having to pop to the shop. Gonna make a cornbeef pie which will do for packed lunch fillers and make a pie, chips and beans meal for tea tomorrow (out for tea tonight). Gonna scan the first post and see what else I can make with whats in my cupboards. Probably some muffins or scones, or maybe both! Ohh, and have plenty of cheese and eggs so might make quiche too.
I love this challenge, certainly keeps me busy plus i LOVE to bake as much as i love to save money, lol

My grocery bill is rapidly rising at the moment - yikes! I always spend far more when staying with family though as opposed to when I'm at home, so I'm confident I can still come in under £200. I have £17.55 to add taking me to a total of £83.36. I have bought quite a few storecupboard staples that needed updating though (like lentils) so I'll be trying the bulking-out spag bol trick. I've always bulked it out with veg but never added lentils for some reason!Novuna personal finance 0% 4-year £518/£1866Credit card debt free! Now on the journey to mortgage free.0

Feeling rather pleased with myself. Just put a beef stew in slow cooker will freeze leftovers for tea one night next week. I saved all the ends of the vegetables to use to make chicken stock from tomorrows chicken, never made a stock before strangely I am quite looking forward to it
Just a quick question, what does everyone use to store leftovers in the freezer? I don't have alot of tubs, now I am wishing I had saved chinese take away containers. Struggling to think what I can put the leftover stew into, it will probably have to be a ceramic dish and cover with foil, which isn't very space saving.
My weeks meal plan
M- slow cooker beef stew HM bread - coke float
T- Chicken in slow cooker, potatoes, frozen veg, yorkshire - poached pear, ice cream
W- chicken (from tuesday) curry with jar sauce - rubbard crumble
T- sausage muffins (like M's breakfast ds loves these) potato wedges, frozen veg -self saucing choc pud
F- Frozen fish, chips, peas, value curry sauce - pud from thurs
S- not sure something I can find in cupboard/freezer
S- HM pizza, wedges, beans - lemon sponge might try AGCJ as suggested above (thanks)0
