    What problems with Firefox?
Which version are you using, 2.0.0.4, is the latest and appears perfectly stable?
Have you reported any bugs, what was the reply?

I've used Firefox exclusively since launch and haven't had a problem yet that hasn't been solved either with help from the Mozilla forum or a rapid product update.

I think its purely down to personal taste. Ive used Opera before in the past, nice and quick. Even have a operamail account! that I created when I first started to use Opera long time ago.
Ive so used to using IE7 now.

Ive used Mozilla firefox, its pretty decent. Lot of people rave about it. I think your the first person who has said something negative.

I think the old netscape navigator is still around, never hear this name anymore though, pity, it was a reasonable browser http://browser.netscape.com/

There isnt that great a choice though

    Opera for me.
I have used Firefox in the past but once i started using Opera then i have never regretted it.
I have tried others, and tried going back to firefox, but Opera is so fast and has some great features, and set up correctly, very secure.

The BBC radio player does not work properly with even the newest version of Firefox. Volume control, back/forward etc buttons inpoperable.

But for running on an old memory-starved laptop, FF is good as it runs faster and opening more tabs does not cripple the laptop's performance.

Neither do they in Opera! http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/help/#opera

With Firefox it depends when you loaded the Real Player, see http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/help/#mozilla

At the end of the day all browsers have plus and minus points.
The more mainstream the product the more work goes in to correcting those issues which annoy a large number of users, the downside of this is that the more mainstream is the more likely malicious users are to try and exploit any vulnerabilities that exist.

For my own use I have found Firefox to be the most suitable, but thats not to deny others may have aspects that suit other users.

Firefox and never looked back. Not had 1 trojan, malware, virus and far less popups since switching.

Most hackers/virus programmers target IE as it has such a massive audience, so firefox escapes a lot of this.

A great tip I found the other day and cant live without now,

Click on Tools/Extensions then click Get more extensions.

Search for Tab Mix Plus and Mouse Gestures

You can customise tabs in everyway imaginable and with mouse gestures you can hold down the left mouse button slide the mouse from right to left and go back in browser, make an L shape to open new tab etc etc, makes browsing even faster and quicker :T

I have no idea why the BBC insist on using crappy real media.

I think it stems from the beginnings of the web when real audio was the de facto codec to use for web media.
  • I use Firefox.

Never tried Opera though, I will have to have a look!
