Hi All
does anyone have any experience with Natwest and their process its through a MB so I can not use the tracker.
Hi Jay,
Our timeline recently with Natwest was:
25/07 - MA back off holiday, he submits application to Natwest
26/07 - L&G email to confirm they've booked the valuation survey for 08/08
30/07 - application approved subject to valuation!
08/08 - valuation takes place
09/08 - mortgage approved! Offer of loan received
So we had it approved the day after the valuation took place but it took two weeks for the valuation to happen.
MA let us know about the survey being booked in and application approval subject to valuation but we actually got the email directly from Natwest confirming that we had an offer
We both bank with Natwest so I don't know if that had any impact on speed etc.
Good luck :j0 -
I am feeling a Little bit frustrated. We got our offer quickly; within three days of applying, but actually receiving the paperwork through the post took weeks. They wont have any contact with my solicitor until they have received the signed mortgage offer (even though they have already asked for a report on title) so the legal process hasn't started yet.
The actual application process went really smoothly, I know these things happen but I am starting to get a bit frustrated with this stage. As we are currently renting privately we do have a fairly hard deadline and we need to sort the entire legal process plus have our new build fitted out.
I get that buying a house is a marathon rather than a sprint, but waiting around for weeks just to have a form put in the post is a little frustrating.0 -
I heard back from my MA yesterday that underwriters have requested a statement from my savings account (showing deposit) with my name and address on as the statement I sent doesn’t show this info and I can’t do it on line.
Spoke to customer services at bank and they said I can go in branch and this can be done, so I rang my branch and they’re telling me it can’t, they can only give me a letter.
It’s so infuriating, everything was happening fairly quickly and looking positive.
If the branch can’t give me what I need I’ll have to wait 10 days for it to be sent from head office!0 -
So updating ...
04/09/2019 Lender requested additional letter confirming gifted deposit
05/09/2019 discussion with MA - Aldermore have told him that we should have heard back by Monday, if they have any questions relating to our application ...0 -
25th July: AIP received through broker
31st July: Viewed House, put offer in
2nd August: Full application submitted (and Masthaven contacted the agent we're buying through the same day)
5th August: Money taken from bank for application fee and valuation
6th August: Offer accepted on new house
17th August: Offer withdrawn from second property
17th August: offer accepted on property 3 (!!!)
20th August: new house details passed to Masthaven and request for increase of lend
22nd August: Request for additional information from lender around my name as I’ve had 3 very similar names (Maiden name, married name and divorced name)
23rd August: Request for information around reasons for defaults
28th August: Request around bank statements. Namely, what are my "Marcus Savings" and how many dependents do I actually have. I think they though I had been saving thousands of pounds for a child called Marcus :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Its the savings account I've stuck all the money in for house moving :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
So we’re all accepted subject to the valuation. We don’t have a date for that yet though.0 -
06/08 - DIP received from Virgin Money through Broker
13/08 - Found out VM wouldn't lend on new build SO flat I found as the block is over 10 floors and in the wrong part of London.
15/08 - Reserved another SO new build - which I actually preferred to my initial one, so blessing in disguise I couldn't go ahead with the previous one
16/08 - New DIP received from VM through broker as new flat is more expensive
21/08 - Approved for the property by Metro Finance and the HA
27/08 - Full application submitted
28/08 - Offer subject to valuation received
05/09 - valuation finally booked in for 12/09 after lots of back and forth
Virgin have been super quick, so hopefully everything is fine with the valuation and i get a formal offer asap after valuation.
I might have to exchange by 30/09 - so the clock is really ticking.0
