    12/08 - Offer Made
15/08 - AIP with Coventry Building Society
    16/08 - Solicitors instructed
23/08 - Received a call advising valuers will be attending on 27/08

Does anyone know what's next? I'm guessing underwriters to review once valuation done, has anyone else gotten a mortgage with CBS recently?

Have you made a full application? If so..it'll be subject to the valuation of the property
  • Hi everyone,

Myself and my partner are FTB’s and are applying for a Halifax mortgage with an 81% LTV.

    Our timeline stands:
    08/07 MB meeting and MIP’s
    24/07 viewed house
26/07 offer accepted and solicitor appointed
27/07 new MIP and mortgage certificate
27/07 ID checks with estate agents
29/07 MB meeting to choose mortgage
    30/07 sent paperwork to MB
01/08 Nationwide declined- applied for Halifax and paid valuation fee
02/08 phonecall to say surveyor didn’t turn up

We have now got the valuation booked in again for the 13/08 but they’ve told us we won’t have our offer until the 21/08!! It feels like we’ve had knock back after knock back and I’m losing hope! 😖

So glad I’ve got all your forums and success stories to keep me going!
Any advice would be kindly appreciated ♥️

    UPDATE

    13/08 valuation took place
20/08 valuation report received valuing property at asking price of mortgage
23/08 OFFER RECEIVED via post 😍:rotfl::beer:

Now on to the next part!
Hope everyone’s goes smoothly and you aren’t all waiting as long as we were 😬
  • AIP with natwest via broker 2nd August
Offer on a property accepted 8th August
Full application submitted to natwest 12th August
Valuation done and all ok 21st August
Natwest tracker is showing everything ticked except one from 19th August asking broker to call to discuss clients application, broker has spoken to them since then but it is still on tracker.
23rd after pushing broker via chat for update they sent me email saying natwest have come back with a query and broker is dealing with it. Should I be worried?

I am using habito online free mortgage broker service, they are not the easiest to get hold of to be honest which makes me anxious and frustrated. Now have I got an email at around 17:48 on Friday 23rd August before a bank holiday saying they have a query, I am now left in limbo until next week without being able to liaise with anyone (one wonders if this was the intent) just leaves me even more anxious and frustrated.

We have paid the solicitors for the searches on the property so I am also concerned that if it all goes wrong from this point I will lose this money. Then there are the hard searches they do that will be on the credit files, each one reducing your credit worthiness for when you apply elsewhere. Right now I am pulling my hair out, I hate the process. I went through my bank the last time (Halifax) and can honestly say although not as much choice I was put at ease if I was worried, they kept me updated constantly and I never felt like I was unable to contact them or as anxious and frustrated as I do using a broker.

22 days after submitting full application, it's only just started underwriting. Stay clear of accord everyone

Ps I move in 3 days. Now I'll lose the house. They have not a care in the world.
