Timeline so far:
22/8/19 - DIP receieved
22/8/19 - Mortgage application sent
27/8/19 - Conveyancer allocated
27/08/19 - Valuation booked
Does anyone know roughly how long they come back with a deicison? Myself and partner are FTB and this has been such a stressful experience for me as I worry so much over everything.
Also, what are people's reviews on using Digital Mortgages by Atom? Seen so many mixed reviews so it's hard to know what to think.
So far, so good with us. Just wish the decision was instantaneous!!0 -
22 days after submitting full application, it's only just started underwriting. Stay clear of accord everyone
Ps I move in 3 days. Now I'll lose the house. They have not a care in the world.
Sorry to hear this Cage - how come there was a deadline of Friday? Is that a stipulation from the vendors?Save 12K 2019 #37 - £3,512.97 / £6,000 (July)

Its only a small thing, but our lender has been a bit slow with actually getting our mortgage offer out in the post but the rest of the process has been very efficient.
Our mortgage was approved on a Saturday and passed on to what they called the mortgage completions team. This team got in touch Monday morning to check contact details for the survey. The survey was booked for two days later within 15 mins of that phone call. Happy to be able to say that the survey came back with no issues.
Just need to actually get some paperwork to sign and things will really be progressing0 -
I honestly feel more anxious about this then having our daughter and getting married combined 😂🤷🏽!♀️
It’s the waiting game indeed ... I think this is the bit that’s killing me. I like to be organised - total type A - so it all being in someone else’s hands is less than ideal 😂0 -
Quick update on our side. Still waiting for payroll from my partner's end to release her 'back to work basic salary' they are taking the !!!! now and that's all aldermore are waiting for to make offer !!!!! 😠0

Im currently waiting for an offer on a mortgage and it is so stressful!
AIP given on 20th August from Virgin
Valuation carried out on the 23rd August
Valaution figures are fine but they have referred some of my employment info to an underwriter, since I am a contract worker in an ongoing contract. Although the company I work for has confirmed it is an ongoing contract and does not have an end date this has to be assessed, which will take another few days
Not sure if this is going to be an issue or not? We have a broker but I dont want to pester them about it as I expect they dont know either!0 -
25th July: AIP received through broker
31st July: Viewed House, put offer in
2nd August: Full application submitted (and Masthaven contacted the agent we're buying through the same day)
5th August: Money taken from bank for application fee and valuation
6th August: Offer accepted on new house
17th August: Offer withdrawn from second property
17th August: offer accepted on property 3 (!!!)
20th August: new house details passed to Masthaven and request for increase of lend
22nd August: Request for additional information from lender around my name as I’ve had 3 very similar names (Maiden name, married name and divorced name)
23rd August: Request for information around reasons for defaults
28th August: Request around bank statements. Namely, what are my "Marcus Savings" and how many dependents do I actually have. I think they though I had been saving thousands of pounds for a child called Marcus :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Its the savings account I've stuck all the money in for house moving :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
And we're still going. Question around Child benefit today as I was paid it in April but since then I have cancelled my claim and no longer get it as my eldest is working full time.
Broker has advised this looks like the last point now so they should move to valuation. Fingers crossed!0 -
I’m still waiting for my mortgage statement from my old lender ☹️ Had to pay £10 for the privilege too !0

I’ve put a full application in with Aldermore so just wondered how you find dealing with them?0
