Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

Good evening
We are looking for some advice
We are currently going through a mortgage application with Kent Reliance (I have a default for £100 from 3 n half years ago)
My husband and I have a Ltd company. Hes a director but im not
We are both PAYE through the company as we want to pay our taxes every month so we know where we stand and it's done
We are both share holders. Our current mortgage advisor spoke to Kent Reliance who said they would accept this but now application is in, underwriter isn't happy that we are PAYE and doesn't like it. Our accountant said it is fine to do this. Lookinh likely we will be refused.
Please could anyone give me some advice as I'm not sure where we stand now.
Thank you very much

Hello everyone
Long time dipping in and out of forums here but not a poster. Thought I’d join in here 😀
9/1/19 - application started with L&C, asked to provide evidence of change of name
10/1/19 - application submitted to Barclays in the morning, decision in principle arrived in the afternoon
11/1/19 - email advising of mortgage offer
11/1/19 - letter from Barclays solicitors to authorise them to proceed
If anyone has any idea how long from here to completion, please let me know 🙂
Applied with Barclays on the same day, not much movement as yet. Last I heard they were arranging a valuation on a house that is literally foundations at the minute. Track It is also a bit of a mess0 -

Thank you, great to know how someone else is getting on with them. How interesting about the valuation. Hope it comes in at the right figure for you.
I have been asked to track it all via Optima Legal dashboard which seems to indicate all I’m waiting for now is the completion date. Fingers crossed!
Good luck for yours.0 -

Looks like I am just waiting on my solicitor registering on the panel. Hoping that's a sign everything has went well. The wait is excruciating!
Good luck to you too0 -

The wait is excruciating indeed! I delayed getting it all sorted due to some sad personal circumstances and my January payment was £225 more than usual 🤦🏻!♀️ I expect February will be the same which is making life very difficult for me.
Let’s hope we both complete ASAP!0 -
Hey guys!
Timeline from accepted offer on property to mortgage offer on my wife and I's first home
Saturday 5th - offer on property accepted
Monday 7th - initial conversation with L&C and AIP
Wednesday 9th - another conversation with L&C, advised to apply with Santander
Friday 11th - provided documents and Santander messaged us stating they have received the application
Monday 14th - signed forms and direct debit mandate
Tuesday 15 - correction required on direct debit mandate signed again....
Thursday 17th - message from Santander confirming the offer has been sent!
Celebrating the first hurdle! This has been an anxious week for myself but I now feel that I can relax a bit. Now I guess it all comes down to the chain and the solicitors?0 -
Would there be major complications if between getting a mortgage offer (with barclays in particular) and completion, I change employment. All going well there could be 5/6 months after the offer before completion, and the chance to move to a different job with better prospects may arise in that period.0

17/01/19: Applied today with Nationwide via L&C.
Very lovely person on the phone, said she's done the affordability and it seemed ok and she's passed everything onto nationwide.
She only asked me and my partner for last month's payslips only though, which I found odd, but she did say if they do ask for more it's likely to be last 3 payslips / bank statements, so have them prepared and if they need it she'll ask for them.0 -

We have had 2 mortgage offers from Nationwide in the last 4 months (switched properties) both times we had to provide payslips and bank statements so, personally I would be prepared to hand them over.
They have been very easy to deal with on both occasions, valuations booked within a day of application going in and the appointment itself carried out within 4/5 days (depending on surveyor availability of course!) text updates and decisions within 2 working days of appointments. Good luck!0
