I have no idea how to "thank" your post, Lena...so thanks!! It is an absolute nightmare, eh? It's the constant conversation that goes on in your head.....what happens if this, well that must be the case because of that.....if i was a mortgage lender what would i do? ....google google....worry....worry!!!
I called the conveyancer again yesterday and she said that they would contact the purchasers to "see if they had any news" but that she "didn't think there would be any problems" I just want someone to tell me if they have a mortgage!!!!! All the rest of the paperwork is completed.
The last 2 years have been horrendously stressful and uncertain, but this last couple of months? "On the edge" doesn't even cover it!! I really hope that you have your decision soon too.0 -

Ah it's terrible waiting isn't it! I just want to know everything's ok, just like you. I hate waiting for other people to do their job, would be so much better if we could just do it all ourselves :rotfl:
Fingers crossed for both of us!!0 -

Broker has come back today advising Natwest want another 3 months payslips for my wife to show her car allowance which I have sent over promptly so not sure if this is good news or bad and just waiting here very nervous on their decision :undecided
So Natwest tracker now has a completion marker next to the Valuation, ID and Payslips as of 9:30am this morning so I am taking this as closer now to a decision whether that be a decline or fingers and toes crossed an Offer0 -

So good news is the wait is over but bad news is it was a decline based on we were accepted initially as our names were the wrong way around and now they have rectified this we have failed their credit score.
So onto Aldermore now as they are the last ones that fit this our circumstances0 -
I'm sorry to hear that @Noobie
We're with Aldermore, full application went in on the 24/4/18 and they've come back twice asking for further documents. Last documents submitted by our broker on Monday, hopefully that's all the documents they need and they'll book valuation in soon.
Fingers crossed you get the offer from aldermore!0 -

Thanks, I think I am not as gutted as I would be if I believed our situation had a real chance at getting a Mortgage with Natwest. Up until our Broker got a DIP with them I was certain we were more in the region of Aldermore and Kensington etc so not a surprise to be declined but more irritated as the waste of time really.
Was there anything out of the ordinary that has happened to date with Aldermore as in our broker has all our payslips, bank statements, ID's etc and he is fully aware of our situation and I have just spent the last 30 mins or so looking through their acceptance criteria and nothing seems to stick out where we would be declined so it is just going to come down to the Underwriter decision I suppose on our situation but this is our last chance saloon I think0 -
@Noobie
I can't imagine the disappointment you felt with the time wasted. We got declined with Natwest at DIP in March due to my credit history.
When we got our DIP with Aldermore it got reffered to the underwriter due to a late payment from January, luckily our broker sorted this for us. But from what I've read on here, quite a few DIP got reffered.
Our broker said yesterday that they're currently a couple of days behind, but we've found that they've been responded to our documents around 2 working days after submitting them.
I think the only downfall for me is that we can't deal with them direct for updates but our broker has been amazing and kept us updated with everything.0 -

Sounds good and nothing out of the ordinary then. Yeah the gutting thing is 3 weeks wasted due to our names being submitted wrong but suppose I have to laugh as otherwise would cry!!!
I have noticed on their lending criteria that they class New Build as being built in the last 12 months which seems a bit weird as if they do not borrow on New Builds not built yet then surely they are excluding themselves from most of the New Build market as lot are reserved off plan or in progress of being built. But if it does mean that then that scuppers us as our house is not built until September0 -
Just had a call from our broker to say our mortgage offer has been issued for the full amount :j
Finally! Seemed to take forever (4 weeks!). He did say some of the lenders are taking quite a long time at the moment, just to reassure anyone else who is unnecessarily worrying like I was0 -

That is fantastic - I am so pleased for you! Happy new home!!! Fingers crossed mine goes the same. I had word from the conveyancer yesterday which said
“My clients are expecting their mortgage offer by the end of this week.
My clients are now asking if any items of furniture are staying, in particular the wardrobes. They would be happy if they were to be left.”
That, to me, still didn't say whether it had been approved or not, and I asked as much and she replied
"If the purchasers are waiting on their mortgage offer that would normally mean that the mortgage has been approved and that the mortgage offer is on its way. I will let you know when I hear more"
So I will continue to wait....and hope.....0
