Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

Still nothing from Santander: no request for a valuation yet. I guess no news is good news but still nervous due to my spotty financial history last year (although 5 years before then were perfect). My broker keeps assuring me that a DIP from Santander is about as sound a DIP as you can get, but I'm still losing sleep. Argh! It doesn't get easier, does it?0

Just received an e-mail saying that the property valuation is taking place on Thursday! I'm hoping this means that everything is fine with both of us and it's just a case of the property now being worth the money.0

Does anyone have any experience with Newbury mortgages? My broker is submitting the paperwork to them today for my mortgage (already have a DiP and they have done a hard search on my credit score). I'm hoping they are happy with everything this week and book the valuation for early next week and give me the offer next week (although I'd much rather it all take place this week but I think that is wishful thinking). I'm getting rather fed up of all the sleepless nights worrying about if I am going to get this mortgage or not!0

Valuation/Survey has come back today all fine. Aldermore are now just going to go over that and my wife’s payslips and we should have something by Wednesday.
How’s your application going?0 -

@Jeden
That's great news! Fingers crossed for you! We've not heard anything since submitting documents Friday. Im hoping no news is good news and they're happy with all documents. I'm going to ring our broker up tomorrow for an update.
We spoke to estate agent today and vendor has had her offer accepted and has instructed solicitor. We haven't even paid the solicitors fees or told them to commence work as we're waiting on news from aldermore!
Hopefully your next post is announcing your offer! !!!9786;!!!55358;!!!56606;0 -
Hello we received out mortgage offer via broker on 26/4 and are currently waiting for it to arrive in the post. How long roughly should it take? Seller is pushing to close sale as move in date is 11/5. We are in Scotland.0

Good morning all. I have been scanning these pages for weeks since my property was out on the market. There seems to be some great advice and support on here, which has kept me (relatively) sane. I have a question from the "other side" so to speak...
After a lengthy court fight to sell my property (awful breakup and "obstructive ex-husband) the Sheriff signed off on the sale. Estate Agents marketed it and there was an offer almost immediately. Both myself and the purchaser are using the same Conveyancer (we are in Scotland) Basically the timeline has been....
28/03 - Official written offer received.
28/03 - Purchasers apply for full mortgage (the already had a DIP) from Nationwide
10/04 - Legal report searches done by solicitor - all okay
11/04 - Revision to the original offer received and Qualified Acceptance issued by my conveyancer. Sale agreed pending the purchasers mortgage being secured. Provisional entry date 18/05/2018
16/04 - Valuation conducted
as of today - no word.
My conveyancer has contacted theirs and they have said that they are awaiting loan papers but no one seems to be able to say if it the mortgage has definitely been agreed.
On the Nationwide website themselves, it appears that a valuation is only booked in Scotland AFTER the offer has been made and there has been a lot of time from the full application until now, so I am presuming that all checks will have been carried out by now. I know that my conveyancer has conducted the Legal searches already.
Please could someone who has much more experience of this than me advise if the information above seems "normal" The conveyancer has quite a relaxed attitude and says that I don't need to worry.....but I cannot help it. It's the last step in a fairly horrific road, and I am so impatient to see it done with no more hassle.0 -

DIP accepted with Natwest through a broker on 6th April
Full Application on 9th April
Valuation fee taken on the 11th April
Valuation booked for the 26th April
Valuation accepted on the 27th April
Now awaiting final decision of an offer or not.
We have less than perfect credit scores so really nervous but hoping in the 2 weeks we were waiting for the valuer to go out that they have already assesed us and we are fine as why wait to check us after the valuation so fingers crossed
So tracker still says Valuation complete and will contact our broker once assessment done.
Broker has come back today advising Natwest want another 3 months payslips for my wife to show her car allowance which I have sent over promptly so not sure if this is good news or bad and just waiting here very nervous on their decision :undecided0 -

I'm in the same boat, although in England. Our valuation was done 5th April according to their text message but nothing since. Chased last week via our broker and they requested one more payslip so we sent that over a week ago and still nothing. Our broker chased them again yesterday and they said they are a bit behind but should have something "soon". It's so stressful, I hate the waiting!!0
