And the same to you.........can't believe how stressful this process is and I've got three kids :rotfl: thought I couldn't get more stressed out but turns out I was wrong xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -
My broker applied to nationwide on the 29th Feb and we have had the valuation done on the 10th and was accepted on the 11th. Still heard nothing !
I thought that all documents etc were checked before the valuation was done?0 -

I would chase up with your broker Calum
We went and spoke to ours late last week just to nudge him to update us (especially as we know all the lender needs is a transcript of our home report and the broker hasn't even let us know our application has been received!). Unfortunately, our broker was so appallingly rude I am still struggling to believe it. At one point he explicitly told us that we, his clients, do not need to know about every step of the process - and Nationwide is only being "polite" answering our calls and talking to us about our application.
Well, I didn't feel able say what I thought of his service at the time, as we are mid-application after all, but I am minded to raise a complaint after this is all over. Until then, we will leave him to it and continue to call the lender directly. He has tainted a little bit what should be an exciting time for us, really.
Fingers crossed the broker will now just get the transcript of the home report to the Nationwide ASAP (we're in Scotland) so they can get the whole thing checked off by underwriters and hopefully issue an offer! The broker did at least say that he doesn't have any reason to suspect that a mortgage is offer is not forthcoming.
And the good news is that this tortuously long bank holiday will be over tomorrow!

i suppose I can add my timeline now after hovering for so long-
Mortgage with Natwest- HTB....bit of an issue of a 3 year old default.
19/01/16 Credit checked AIP with Natwest via broker
20/01/16 Reserved a house on a new build estate
10/03/16 Help to buy paperwork sent... developer waiting on approval to proceed, hence the delays
17/03/16 Receive authority from Help to buy
22/03/16 Full app submitted and valuation money taken out. Apparently Natwest have change the process so the valuation fee comes out on day one when the application goes in.
Anxious wait now....Broker advised me Natwest have been quite fast with decisions lately but the easter hols haven't been good for my mental well-being!0 -
Just had an email from Sols to confirm we are happy to exchange today and complete tomorrow. So, we received the mortgage agreement on Wed, signed on Thurs, had the bank holiday weekend and exchange today (Tues) to complete tomorrow.
So I will love you and leave you, finally!
Good luck to all, and no more Bank Holidays until May.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

hi Rhett,
We are in scotland too!!
Our broker seems really good but lack of contact is not any good for me.
I have sent him an email today to chase him up0 -
So our valuation is today and we paid for the home buyers survey through nationwide. Had email this morning from countrywide to say that they needed information to book the survey! Had a slight panic but it is today. Can take 5-7 days for us to receive though. Everything takes so long!0

So I just contacted my broker to find out that she's been in meetings the whole of last week! So they are going to get someone else to call me back today with an update. My valuation was done over a week ago apparently.
I'm a very impatient person and I was hoping to hear back today after the ever so long bank holiday weekend!
I'm not one to chase things up as most often the answer will generally be there's no updates.. But having a valuation take place over a week ago - Surely that must be back by now0
