Congratulations to everyone who has successfully had their mortgage offer and good luck to those still waiting!

Our valuation is this Wednesday.. Does anyone know how long after a valuation it takes before receiving an offer?

Usually a matter of just 2 or 3 days if the valuation comes back at the asking price or above.

    Well, in today's news.....

Accord have been waiting to hear back from the MA since 2nd March valuation when they decided, on the underwriting check, that they would drop the offer again..... and she had not answered them.

Oh NO! You all cry in unison, that is terrible, after they mucked you about in February quibbling and making silly reductions on affordability which would mean a difference of £10 a month (??) in repayments, and then deciding they would lend you the full £120k after all!! but over 26.5 years instead of 25 years, and now, at the 11th hour they have dropped the offer again, even though the valuation came back as the same as the asking price...

So, dear readers, by how much are they reducing the offer? £200.00 (there is no shaking head in bewilderment gif)

The offer was supposed to be faxed to the solicitor this afternoon, but I will not hold my breath. At least I know the whys of it all now, but still, pretty shoddy eh?

Might as well join in the fun. Our broker has arranged at least 10 mortgages for my family over the last 15 years. He is very trusted. Lets see if he can get a good service from the famously feared ACCORD

£500k flat 80% LTV. No chain.

    AIP 22/3/16
    Mortgage app submitted 22/3/16
Paid for valuation and arrangement 22/3/16
  • Through my broker:

Applying with Nationwide 57% LTV on a £158,000 property.

    21.3.16 - Submitted DIP
21.3.16 - DIP referred to head office
    21.3.16 - Full Application submitted

No idea how my broker can submit a full application when there no definitive outcome on the DIP yet - confusing!

I hope that is the end of your troubles F0xh0les!

We had our valuation done yesterday and I got the call (and e-mail and text) to say the mortgage offer is in the post today :j I was planning to wait patiently for a response until after the bank holiday so very pleased I don't have to!

I haven't actually seen the offer yet but fingers crossed everything is as it should be, things seem to be going pretty smoothly!

    03.03.16 Mortgage application submitted
04.03.16 DIP agreed and documents requested
    09.03.16 All documents sent
14.03.16 All documents approved and valuation arranged
    21.03.16 Valuation
    22.03.16 Offer issued
