Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

Hi all,
Been stalking you all for the last couple of days.
Our mortgage application was going so well until we were told that our application has been pulled for a random audit.
Anybody have any ideas how long this will delay things? We applied with Nationwide through a broker. Apparently they have requested further paperwork from my husbands accountants. But the accountant has no record of the request.
Very frustrating as we hate this waiting. :-(0 -

Can i call directly to mortgage centre of my lender, and ask about our process, if we have mortgage adviser ?
I applied to Leeds directly but I think it is ok to call them. I rang them today and they said that it's currently taking 3-4 working days for the underwriters to review the submitted documentation.
The wait is killing me.:D0 -
Update
Full application through L&C made to Accord on 15/2/16
Additional documents requested and sent 16/2/16
Survey completed 23/2/16
Referred to senior underwriter 3/3/16
Mortgage issued 9/3/16
Mortgage paperwork sent to L&C to check hopefully nothing wrong now0 -

The good thing is we get on well and it's a private tenancy, not through an agency. Fingers crossed he's okay about that...
Oh, and...:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer: and more
Mortgage offer from the Halifax is in the post!
Here's a summary (from memory) of the recent timeline...
Jan 19 - mortgage application made by broker
Jan 22 - request for SA302s
Jan 26 - hard copies from HMRC arrive
Feb 10 - valuation done
Feb 12 - valuation report received with couple of matters to investigate further
Feb 29 - mortgage approved, as notified by broker
Each time they said '24-48 hours' it ended up being a week. The only thing they were spot on with was the turnaround from valuation report to offer, which was 10 working days.
Our solicitor has advised the vendor's is still yet to submit all the documents they need. In fact, they only have the title and contract deeds at the moment. So who knows...
Quick update... Five working days elapsed from when the Halifax claimed to have posted out the offer second class post. I phoned on Monday, the sixth day, and they said nobody had posted it, apologised, and said they would send it out second class post. It arrived today, and had been sent first class. So just in case you're wondering where it is, it may be worth giving them a call!
Things are going to move rather slowly from here on in. Legal boundary cause for concern...0 -

Hi,
We went through a broker and I was able to call the lender directly for an update. As long as you've got your application reference number then you should be fine.0 -

I've paid the full asking price and haven't notice anywhere minus £250?
gjheward91,
As others have said, it should be taken off what you owe.
For example: We paid a £500 reservation fee, when it came to paying the deposit, that fee was taken off. So rather than paying £18K, we only had to pay £17.5k.0 -
fab! thank you all0
