We tried with Leeds, but they had reached their loan limit of the development, so are now with Melton Mowbray

    :) Morning,

Has anyone had any dealings with Natwest? My application went in last Thursday (03/03) had an email yesterday to say they are looking over the bank statments and will take 3 working days then the next step will be to instruct a valuation

They have come back and said they cannot accept handwritten CIS vouchers (12 months worth) I am using a broker and thought he would have advised that as that's all my partner has from his employer

No contracts as of yet.... still waiting to exchange :(

We signed some paperwork upon reservation and paid a fee of 1k - it says the reservation fee will be deducted from the completion monies (subject to the specified timescale- must look into that bit as I don't think we are going to reserve on time eek)

Did you have any paperwork given to you when you paid reservation fee? or maybe it was non refundable??

thanks! still not fully understanding, sorry....
so Im just saving my solicitor £250? does it not come off of any of my bills?
The developer's solicitor asks your solicitor for the purchase price, less £250.

As a consequence, the amount requested from you by your solicitor will also be £250 less.

Hence, you have £250 more left in your pocket.

Ah ok, so when my solicitor bills me..... they quoted around £900.... ive paid £250 search fees, so they should only request around £400?!?! if so then amazing! :)

Don't forget the balance of any deposit and stamp duty, if applicable.

Either way, the "bill" will be £250 less.
