So, valuation was done on our purchase property yesterday....desperate to know the result!
The valuation for our sale property was done last Thursday. I know "no news is good news" normally, but in this case I do not trust that even out buyers know the result of this yet,...so, do I have any right to chase this up to find out if there is any issues?0 -
More paperwork requested by the lender. Considering all our circumstances remain the same from 5 months ago and we have proven that with updated statements etc., why are they now asking for things that they didn't need for the original application which was offered on?!
Each individual underwriter within the bank seems to have their own whims which need satisfying. Gah! At least our valuation week was "as expected", to quote our MA. Assuming that means they valued it at the purchase price then....0 -
Reckless ladybird 07/03 - I had a message from case worker earlier this evening telling me Halifax will lend 5k LESS than what we applied for!
I will phone tomorrow the case worker to discuss. However, this 5k is just money that we do not have! No idea what we are going to do...
Ring back and ask if they will lend the full amount over a longer term. Say 18 months longer. It can't hurt to ask, and it may be enough as, lets face it it is £16.66 less a month. Good luck and let us know.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Just had a query about my payslip from Halifax via my case worker at L&C so we must be with the underwriting team. I can feel my hair going white with nerves...0

Perhaps I should post in here again cos I'm now anxiously anticipating our BUYERS' mortgage decision :-) I don't know what's going on with them - first they needed to remortgage an existing property to fund the deposit on our place, and they got a lower valuation on that than they expected, and then they apparently got declined on a mortgage for ours, but then somehow got a valuation booked in that just happened, so perhaps they've appealed it, or applied elsewhere... fingers crossed they get it!0

Valuation came in on our purchase property at 212k (the agreed price)
The valuation on our sale property came in on our sale property 2k below the agreed price- so there is a chance we may have to drop the price .
All in all, not too bad though!0 -
eeee! Just heard from case worker.
The underwriter accepted our application and we have been approved subject to valuation!! We're having a homebuyers survey done at the same time so hopefully it won't delay it too much.0 -
