Yes good idea! Go hunt them down lol

Leeds have requested my partner send them a specific file which we couldn't get hold of for them to just come back and say they had sent us the wrong information and that wasn't the file they required anyway. My hearts in my mouth the entire time lol

OMG?! requested something from someone elses file.... wow..... :T

Thanks but not my heart is once again in my mouth in hopes that my partner can get hold of these documents ASAP and better still that Leeds accept them. And now I'm pancking that Leeds will also tell us they're no longer offering mortgages on our development. God I feel sick! It's literally up and down, up and down lol

Let's hope your morgage goes through quick and without any mishaps! Atleast you already have provided documents that your MA can just forward to the new lender.
  • Worst Christmas present ever this morning from MA, he looked at another lender but the amount they'd lend isn't enough.
I've asked him about a further range of lenders but he's said there are only two lenders available on new build shared ownership, with a 5/10% deposit....?

So annoyed as it was going through fine with Leeds, but they've lent up to their maximum on that particular development, can anyone help on why that is even a rule?.....

    I'm sorry to hear that.

Alternative Option: Are you able to go though this without a MA? Our friends did this on the same development we are buying on because they didn't want to pay the broker fees. They were able to obtain a mortgage with Melton Mowbray Building Society - never heard of them myself but they had no queries from them and received their mortgage offer in just less than 3 weeks from when they sent the application to the lender via post. Practically hassle free! And they can also provide a solicitors to do all your conveyancing - I think she told me they paid £760 all in for the fees/checks.

It may be worth looking them up, I'm not sure where they're based however and it would mean a lot of your documents may be requested by post. But it's definitely worth a try! Hang on in there!

You'll get there don't worry! The banks will be open over Christmas, just not bank holidays. So you might be surprised if the ball begins to roll before you expected.

We just had a nightmare with requested documents for my partner from HMRC that Leeds have requested. HMRC said they couldn't provide the forms and Leeds said that they get these kind of forms all the times from other clients and that HMRC COULD provide them. HMRC even told our MA the same thing they told my partner (that they couldn't provide them) - but then HMRC told me they COULD provide them when I called this morning... :rotfl:

I swear I've gone grey! But we've managed to get hold of the forms that they apparently couldn't provide and they're sending them direct to my partner in todays post. So we then need to scan and email them to our MA so he can pass them on to Leeds for them to send us a mortgage offer.

Absoloute rollercoaster of emotions! Don't give up! It'll all work out x

oh god, what a mess aye! will be sorted soon enough :)
Ive contacted the new MA and he is calling me back this afternoon with anything he finds... finger still crossed.... :)
  • Hanbobs, your situation really does sound like a roller coaster! What a nightmare! HMRC paperwork is the worst... Patience is your friend in these circumstances, however frustrating all these Bank Holidays can be!

Well, myself and my OH are FTBs (as the name suggests, it's not a rude football abbreviation, as some Belfast types may think...!) and we're waiting for everything to go through.

    Dec 11 - offer accepted
Dec 15 - Danske Bank advise they cannot proceed with an application because my OH's income is divided into self-employed earnings (with a low net profit) and two casual contracts. After having made many positive noises and actively encouraged us to go ahead... Oh well.
Dec 16 - straight in to see a mortgage broker, who has been very helpful.
Dec 20 - broker advises us that the Halifax will take us on.

That's as far as we've got, at the moment. We've not commissioned a survey yet, as I am not sure if the Halifax will appoint someone or not, and we've got a solicitor lined up, but not as yet instructed. The numbers aren't scary, and we have a 20% deposit, but it's still very early days...

    Hi everyone.

My fiancee and I have been to see Nat west on the 30th December. We went through the full application and are now waiting on the underwriters. Presumably it will get to them on the 4th Jan. Fingers crossed :D
