They took a payment on Friday, the same day the application was sent, of £134 - this covered the CHAPS fee and the Arrangement fee - are these the same payments they took from you?

I meant I will call my MA as they haven't responded to my email yet. Just out of interest, who are your MAs?

Yes £134 was taken from me too :)
I'm using Thomas Isaac associates, who are you using?
Hopefully when you call MA they will have a good update :)

Ah so we're definitely both at the same stage as one another which is comforting to know we're not alone!! :rotfl:

I'm using a company called Metro Finance, they were recommended by our housing association who are selling the new builds.

    haha yes we are!
Ah fair enough, our was also suggested by the housing association, ours is also Shared ownership so that may take slightly longer to proves? :/

I think shared ownership and new build mortgages/solictor fees always take longer/cost more than your average. And we appear to have both! lol

Luckily, I don't know if this applies to you, but we don't have to pay stamp duty as our purchase share is less than £125k :T

Yeah, solicitor things take longer too, I'm holding off paying them anything until the mortgage has gone through.

Yes also under 125k so no stamp duty... yet until we buy more shares in years to come :)

Same here but I'm panicking we would still be charged the fees if it all fell through :( and I know he's already done some of his searches as I had a change on my credit file from a third party that did environmental and drainage checks etc...

I'll keep you posted once I've spoken to my MA regarding the property valuation that Leeds have to do. I might send an email over to the sales girl to see if they've arranged an appointment with her yet if I've not had a response soon.

We put the full application into Halifax on 27th November (via a broker)

They asked for some additional documents from my partner, I assume because he doesn't bank with Halifax.

The valuation and survey is being done today (eeek!)

Hoping to get a decision this week.

    Fingers and toes crossed

Reply from MA. He said that Leeds haven't booked to valuate the property yet, but said he's chasing them every day until they've confirmed then he will let me know.
I know from a previous conversation with him that this process happens while your application is waiting to be reviewed, so I'm going to guess (and hope!) that this is booked over the next few days before they close for Christmas.
Whether or not the appointment will happen before Christmas however is another thing. :p

Good luck with it all and hope it happens soon! And yeah they do book valuation at same time as reviewing application to "save time"...
Ive spoke with Leeds this afternoon who have now told me they haven't even received my bank statements or payslips, so my application hasn't even been started to be looked at.... :/ Ive spoke with housing association and theyre chasing everyone up to sort where its at
