will keep fongers crossed for a positive valuation damianmcr

unicornbunnies I think im in the same position as you this thread is the only thing keeping me sane right now.
just had email from my MA
' We have finally had confirmation that lender has everything they need so EA should hear from the surveyor soon, my best guess would be within the next 48 hours, then whole case should be assessed ready for mortgage offer within about 3 days of receiving the valuation report'
now just need to keep my fingers crossed the valuation is booked in this week.
  • Moving house. Existing Nationwide customer, but borrowing a bit more for the new house.

    Applying via London & Country

    DIP 30/04
    Full App 22/05
Survey booked & carried out 28/05 (all okay)
    Payslips requested and sent 3/06

Now twiddling my thumbs, after no updates for a while

Do they normally request banks statements for existing mortgage customers?

I guess we've got another couple of weeks to wait for an offer?

Hi, I made an application for a mortgage and this is our story so far:

    08/06/2015 - AIP obtained
    08/06/2015 - Full Application made
10/06/2015 - been with underwriters since yesterday no further update.

It is very urgent for us to have the valuation done in order to get the property off the market.

There is no further update from the Broker.

I rung Santander directly to get an update, but they would not provide me with an update. They said the only way is to go back to broker. Not happy.

Their service level is Application to Valuation 4.6 days. So they are inside their service levels but a more thorough update would be more helpful than just "with underwriters".

    Stress:mad:
  • Hey everyone.

Been stalking the board for a while and now jumping in to tell story.

    Nationwide FTB.

    8th May - Application submitted
    9th May - Valuation booked for 13th
    13th May - Valuation done.
    15th May - Valuation accepted.
Annoying few extra bits of docs.
    9th June - offer sent!

So there was a bit of delay and, to be honest, both my broker and Nationwide were useless at moments but all done now...now just waiting for exchange date!

That's a really good indication that I have a bit longer to wait for Nationwide to offer. Makes me feel a bit calmer! :)

Yeah it seems that, unless you are fairly lucky, 4 weeks seems the average for Nationwide, when did you apply? :)

22nd May. I'm an existing customer so I hoped that might speed things up a bit. But at the moment it isn't looking like it!

Yeah me too! Seems to make no difference, in fact I had to send the statement from my Natwest account to prove my address...because they wouldn't accept my Nationwide statement...which was kinda funny! :rotfl:

Application with nationwide almost 4 weeks down the line. Valuation all done and received, final checks done, expecting offer and then the application gets pulled by head office for more checks which will take another few days. Seriously pulling my hair out!
