I thought you meant Leeds United haha! D'oh!:rotfl:0 -

So, mortgage application was submitted yesterday morning to Santander and since then I have already had the bank requesting additional information. I thought it sat with the underwriters for a week or two, is it normally this quick? Im wondering if its because ive always banked with them or have a large deposit.
Mortgage broker said that I passed all their initial employability/ affordability checks straight after it was submitted yesterday. They then requested letters from my parents who have me money towards the deposit. Today they have asked for information on my partner as to whether she has dependants (buying on my own).
Is this normal? Little nervous as its not what I expected!
My broker submitted our application to Santander last Wednesday. On friday I had a message requesting 3 months payslips for proof of my wages going in. I have also been informed weve passed the affordibility and ID checks and hopefulyl will have some news in the next few days. Seems very quick!0 -
My mortgage app was submitted on the 9th June, 28th today and still no offer.
They were/are being very pedantic about a small issue with the roof which is actually a non issue according to 2 independent reports.
Hoping that the offer comes through very soon as I think we are holding everyone up, it's stressful!0 -
ARGH!!! Called Nationwide at lunchtime, they said they are now waiting for me to submit my Proof of Address.
They have already had this two weeks ago. They denied they hadn't, saying it wasn't on the case. I then asked them to check the old case and it was on there so they transferred it over.
Although they had been asked to by the brokers they hadn't transferred all the documents from the old case to the new.
It is now going to be another 48 hours before they ask for something they have already received/find something that has just become out of date, sorry issue the offer...0 -
My valuation is taking place today, so hoping I'll get some news later this week.0

Still waiting on results of the valuation survey. It was done on the 23rd (last weds). I'm not too sure how quickly results from this are fed back to the appropriate people. Doesn't help my broker only works part time too! I guess knowing my mortgage is approved *subject to valuation* is just making me nervous. More waiting. Arrrgh!
Congrats to anyone who has had good news since I last posted - and good luck to anyone still waiting!0 -

25/07 - ask our MA for our VISAS.:mad: We are uk nationals and had sent our passports with our application at the beginning. This is unbelievable. I am fuming to say the least. It has been two and a half weeks since our valuation came back and still no mortgage offer.0 -
Our valuation was done at the same time as yours madscientist and our MA called today to say the results should have been seen and a final decision made by this Wednesday , still nervous but fingers crossed it's all ok , noticed a further credit check on hubby's equifax file on Monday so that's 3 in total now . All our searches are back and the contracts were sent this morning for us to sign and return so it's moving really quickly for us now , still can't allow ourselves to relax yet though , gonna need a few beers when we complete lol !! Good luck everyone who is still waiting or new to the thread !0

What can I do if I really want to escalate/complain about this (without sabotaging my chances of getting a mortgage?!). This is quite frankly ridiculous.0
