Lender - Halifax (direct)
LTV: 70%
Assuming its a straightforward case as both myself and hubby are Full Time Employees with no impact due to covid-19 (both work for Government)
20 August - offer accepted
21 August - DIP and full application submitted, together with recent payslip uploaded. Hard search and multiple soft searches showing on Credit Karma (no others showing on other reports yet)
22 August - advised valuation booked for 26 August
24 August - called for an update of the process. Was advised at this point that all looked ok and was rated Grade A (whatever that means)
26 August - called Halifax who advised that it looked like the valuation was booked for 25 August (?). Couldn't see if valuation was received yet but advised everything had been passed to mortgage advisor and he may also have the valuation report. So emailed for an update.....
Now sitting here constantly checking emails and biting my nails......
Anyone had similar process?
mortgage stress is doing weird things to my brain....FTB- 90% LTV

Timeline:
29/06 - Broker DiP
1/07 - Informal offer accepted, solicitor instructed, formal offer made
14/07 - Application finally in, after some issues with first application (higher LTV) being rejected, and primary MA being on leave. However, I'm not convinced my completed application was actually submitted to Clydesdale from my MA until 24th, from something my MA said in an email - incredibly frustrating!
28/07 - Additional documents submitted. Hard credit search performed by Clydesdale
3/08 - Confirmation from MA that additional documents submitted - again, frustrating delay
13/08 - Chased MA today, who phoned Clydesdale and received really trivial question about council tax and water charge, which I've now answered... which I presume puts me back to the bottom of the queue to go to underwriters.
My provisional date of entry is 28th August, which is feeling increasingly impossible - however I'm a FTB so also just feel incredibly out of my depth in all of this! V glad to have found this forum so I don't feel so alone in this stress
Was told on 17th that we should hear back from Clydesdale by Monday (24th) at the latest... that didn't happen, and was then told a decision would be made by COB yesterday (27th). Heard nothing.
Advisor tried to chase it up this morning, only for phone lines to be down! Feel like I'm driving her up the wall asking for updates (and I do feel bad, as the current delays aren't her fault) - but we've already postponed our entry date once from 28th Aug to 3rd Sept, and I really don't want to have to do it again! Annual leave booked for all of next week and MAN do I need some time off from all this stress1 -
FTB with Santander on HTB 75% LTV
DIP and full application on 26/8. Anyone any idea on their timescales? We bank both personally and business with them0 -
We’ve been following this thread for the past month and finally have our mortgage offer from Nationwide so thought I’d add our timeline:
Viewed and submitted offer - 20th July
AIP applied for and soft search - 24 July
AIP issued via broker - 24th July
Full mortgage application submitted - 28th July
Extra payslip provided to broker - 3 August
Confirmation of mortgage approved subject to valuation - 19th August
Physical valuation took place - 20th August
Valuation report received confirmation - 26th August
Confirmation of mortgage offer issued - 26th August
Our broker had to escalate our application to the BDM and chase on several occasions but all in it has taken 21 working days from application to offer but it has felt like the longest time ever.0 -
