That's weird. Is the home report old? I'm in Scotland too.AilieG01 said:Anyone else waiting on NatWest? They requested our home report (Scotland) and MB sent it in 20/8. Tracker shows “valuation instructed” today 24/8. They asked us for an updated home report from the seller so the valuation was up to date so can’t u set stand why they are requesting another valuation.Nationwide mortgage application (FTB)

31/07/20 Offer accepted on house
Spent a week faffing around with Equifax because they messed up my credit file over a simple Electoral Roll correction.
10/08/20 Got an updated AIP & booked a mortgage appointment
12/08/20 Halifax mortgage appointment & application submitted (2 hours after Equifax fixed my credit file). Payslips submitted, ID checked at branch. Soft & hard credit searches.
13/08 Valuation instructed
18/08 Product fee paid. No further info from me required. Halifax confirmed the only thing outstanding is the valuation.
20/08 Rang for an update. Surveyors still hadn't made contact with the EA about scheduling the valuation.
24/08 Valuation finally booked in for this Friday. Hopefully by early next week, I'll have my offer.0 -
Update: Natwest Tracker now says: "Your client's valuation report has been received. We will contact you once this has been fully assessed."FTBin2020 said:
Housing development just confirmed that the valuation took place today! Any idea how long it'll be until we'll get an update? We're going through the mortgage application with Natwest.FTBin2020 said:
Received confirmation that our application has been approved subject to valuation - It's a new build property on a housing development which is already in it's 2nd phase of houses, so hoping there's no problems nowFTBin2020 said:My partner and I are both FTB applying for a Mortgage with Natwest VIA a brooker, we're using the help to buy equity loan so only required a 75% LTV. Currently playing the waiting game! Here's our time line so far:
31/07 - DIP done by brooker accepted
05/08 - Full application submitted

17/08 - Payslips marked as success on tracker. Proof of gifted deposit and confirmed of our loan payments requested (These were all sent to brooker at the start so they replied right away).
We haven't had our bank statements requested yet! I'm assuming this pay happen after they review the proof of gifted deposit? Only time will tell - although nerve racking!

I am tearing my hair out! After being messed about by santader for 7 weeks with still no outcome I have applied with halifax.
The full application was made on 19th August and they took valuation fee of £200 on 20th. They also asked for tax overviews as I'm a sole director of my busniess. Broker has updated me that they have done a desktop valuation and have now just asked for confirmation that salary came from employment and not from other benefits! I'm hoping this is the final thing as our seller has put the house back on the market due to waiting so long for our mortgage!
So nerve racking, has anyone else had similar request from halifax? Im hoping I'm close to offer?0 -
I'm in a fairly similar situation. My application was submitted to Halifax on 20th too, and paid that's also when I paid my £200 valuation fee. Desktop valuation was carried out that day, then this morning I sent over a revised document they asked for and got confirmation at lunch it had been approved and an offer was in the post. Eek! Won't believe it until I've got the offer in front of me. I just really hope that everything else goes smoothly now!SammyD84 said:I am tearing my hair out! Get your broker to give them a call tomorrow - sounds like you're nearly there! Good luck!0 -
Oh thank you for this! I have my fingers crossed - just gotta get the info across from accountant and I really hope thats it then. If it does go through I can't beleive the contrast to Santander who have been awful!jsj25 said:

The home report was requested by NatWest as it was out of date. So the new one was done last week and sent in. They claimed on the phone that they don’t use third party valuations and only their own. So I asked why they wanted the home report updated and she said they didn’t. So I asked her to double check and she said so we did!! They don’t have a cluexMeganCL said:
