@Bells1111 glad to hear your valuation was fine! I’m at a similar stage as you, underwriting first and my valuation/survey has just been instructed so waiting for that to be booked. I’m sure you’ll get an offer if the survey came back fine! Good luck!

Good luck! I'm playing the Nationwide waiting game too. My application went in last Monday so I'm only on working day 7 at the moment.
My valuation has been done and approved though so 🤞
Sounds like you're doing well. I submitted only two days after you and they haven't even booked a valuation yet - seems like some applications go into underwriting first and others direct to valuation stage. Took them until today (so 5 working days) to just process my gifted deposit form and ask for more information.
Initial property found & offer accepted: 24/09/2020
    Full application: 25/09/2020
...everything feel through due to a missing EWS1 form in late October...
New property found and offer accepted: 9/11/2020
    Change of property request: 10/11/2020
    Mortgage offer received: 15/11/2020
    Searches back: 06/12/2020
    Exchange: 26/02/2021
    Completion: 04/02/2021 - wohooo!

They haven't asked me for any more info yet. Can't decide if this just means my mortgage advisor has everything or if they've not even looked at my stuff yet 🙈

They may not ask anything. Got mine approved last week from our lender I. Didn't ask any Qs or ask for further docs and only 4 x soft searches on credit file.

Joining the band wagon here because getting very nervous!
    15/7: DIP through mortgage broker
20/7: Offer accepted on New build flat (already fully built and ready to move into) using HTB scheme
31/7: Full application via broker to Halifax
5/8: Proof of deposit of personal deposit and HTB deposit required
7/8: HTB authority to proceed recieved
9/8: Documents sent via broker to lender
13/8: Emailed both broker and estate agent for update, broker said will be another week at least to hear anything and that they will know when valuation has been booked in, estate agent said valuation booked in for 18th august (tomorrow!!) broker obviously didn't know this information

Now just waiting for the valuation and hoping we should recieve offer after this! I am on furlough but my other half (joint mortgage) has a lot greater salary than me and would cover the mortgage on his own so I'm assuming this is why I haven't been questioned on this further!

I am in a rented flat with my tenancy up on the 20th September and really hoping things start to move quicker so I don't have too much of a gap between homes!!

So heard from the broker today that the valuation came back at the price offered so that is good, he also said Halifax has said: The valuer has made additional comments on the report. We will contact you once these have been reviewed and provide any next steps that may be required"
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?! making my nerves worse not sure what additional comments could mean!
    Thanks

Just got word my valuation won’t be until the 3rd Sept! I booked the homebuyers alongside the valuation via my mortgage lender and now am wondering if I should have just gone privately, or if I would have had to wait this long for the lender if they needed a physical valuation anyway. Not sure whether to call and ask or just wait, it’s only 2 weeks but I was hoping it would be next week tbh 😬
