  • Well the good news is that the broker messaged me just after 8 this morning, he says the lender has got confused and he explained our situation back to us (no errors, he knows where we stand). He’s going to speak with the underwriter today and hopefully that will clear up the confusion. I’m not relaxed yet, but I feel a smidge better. Fingers crossed!!

That’s good news but slightly worrying how that could be taken so wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️
    NW timescales:
    DIP: 13/7
    App: 16/7
    Valuation: 6/8
    NW offer: 20/8
  • Good news indeed SierraRomeo , hopefully it’ll happen soon once they realise their slip up !

So after getting fed up of being promised things had been chased up repeatedly and nothing happening I decided to ring pretty much everyone this morning to try and sort the mess that my application has become out. Submitted on June 16th to Barclays (standard HTB application, employed in NHS, no furlough, way within affordability etc) and the property still hadn't had a valuation booked in. Managed to get it booked for next week on the 13th so hopefully should have my offer soon after that.

I'll be glad when its over.
  • Wow Macca that is awful!

I know. The main blame seems to be with Legal & General who had then valuation panelled out to them but Barclays don't seem to have done much to chase them up after both my broker and solicitor requested it be escalated.
