HSBC 75% LTV, broker submitted full application on 8th July, offer received 5am today (18th July) via email, password for the files arrived at 9am via text  :D
This is good to know - I'm also applying for HSBC 75% LTV via a broker. Broker submitted application on Monday 13th July, I asked the broker for an update this week but she says there's nothing - I assume the valuation would have taken place by now? Haven't been asked for any more documents or anything. I'm not sure if the broker would be told when the valuation is taking place?
    Congrats on the offer!
That depends on the lender and whenever it’s desktop ( avr ) or in person . My mortgage was “approved subject to valuation” on 7/07 ( it went to mortgage processing to book a valuation) valuation confirmed to take place on 23/07 so it’s just over 2 weeks of waiting. So if process is - application- underwriting- valuation- offer you can sort out your solicitor etc . If it’s application- valuation- underwriting- offer it’s nothing but waiting.
Thanks, that's helpful to know! Hopefully I'll get an update this week. I'm not the best at waiting.
  • Think I’ve read all 1031 pages of this thread now since my application went in to Accord on the 9th of July ! I’ve not been asked for any documents , no questions either only been told documents are in order and it was waiting for the underwriters last Wednesday. Apparently get further info at the latest Mon/Tues. Not the worrying type normally but this has made me anxious and I’ve convinced myself it’ll be all doom and gloom 😂
Great to read all the story’s however some successful some not so , it’s not easy !

We’re waiting on Accord too. Put our application in on the 3rd, not had any questions asked or additional documents requested. MB says “everything moving along fine”, had the valuation but not heard anything since. The waiting is sooo frustrating. Day 14 will be Wednesday so hopefully no later than that we’ll get some news.

I'm applying with Nationwide. I'm a first time buyer and the sole applicant. I'm using a broker.
    AIP - 6th July
    Applied - 6th July
Valuation scheduled, completed and received - 7th July
Sent Nationwide remaining requested forms (gifted deposit letter etc.) - 15th July
Now back to the nervous waiting
I am very bad at waiting so asked the Nationwide livechat for an update - they are apparently verifying the last forms I sent them and should be able to make a decision in about 4 days (not sure if that's 4 days from receiving the forms or from now).
Hopefully you will hear some good news soon. :)
I'm still waiting for the update as well, submitted on Monday and was told the valuation was carried out yesterday! Been very anxious waiting!
Good news that’s yours is moving quickly... can I ask - are you employed or self employed? It seems some lenders do valuation before underwriter and others are opposite.
I'm self-employed and sent the application through a MB. Still waiting for any update everyday
It’s the wait or lack of updates that’s horrible. Are you Nationwide? We’re NW and both S-emp but not even had hard checks or valuation info yet so I’m thinking ours is literally just sat in a queue.
13/7 - DIP refer as self emp also soft search done
16/7 - MB advised DIP accepted
16/7 - 10:20PM - text and email saying application rcvd
    Thats where we’re at
Yes, I'm self-employed and a sole applicant with NW as well. Submitted two years of SA302 and tax overviews along with recent three months' bank statements via a MB. Have been waiting every single day nervously since the full application was submitted on Monday. But, I don't have any update texts or emails as I suppose they will just go to the MB.
Im in the same boat applied on thursday with a broker. Got a text and an email direct from nationwide.

Wow that’s longer than me so I guess I’ll not be hearing anytime early this week !  Im taking it as a good sign they’ve not asked for anything further but I suspect it’s because of a lot of applications . I’ll be watching your posts closely ! Thanks for the reply

Meant to say we do not require a valuation it’s done on a home report in Scotland by the seller.

    Congrats on the offer!
Thanks. It's actually quite quick for the broker team to login to the HSBC portal and check, although understandably they may be swamped with all their other work. From my previous reading through this thread it seems HSBC normally book valuations very soon after receiving the full application.

On 13/07 I was told the valuation was done. I imagine it was a desktop one.

The interest rates changed this week for HSBC (went up to 1.69%). I applied before this and the mortgage offer is on the rate at application (1.49%).

I wish they'd just give us access to the portal, would save us harassing the poor broker team!

Stress is killing me! Went via a vg broker.
    10.7. Offer on house accepted
    16.7 DIP approved with BOI
17.7 All documents uploaded to BOI system.
Valuation.and underwriters next? Site says average 13 working days from.app.to offer. Cant stop thinking about it. 😰
That depends - some lenders have underwriting- valuation some
    have valuation- underwriting.
I’m waiting 17 days for my valuation to be carried out but it’s all done and waiting just for this ...
  • Anyone else relieved the weekend is over? Hooray for business days. Let’s hope this week is the week for us all!
